The finish came in his 4th career start. In the SCRL Formula 2 Series, it's the 1st for car #4 and the 1st from a crash. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 9th for the #4 and the 228th from a crash. Larker, a former two time SCRL race winner, signed up to complete in the Formula's third highest division to gain more experience on the road courses and possibly compete for a championship. Larker finished 12th and 14th at Silverstone before finishing 14th in the last round at Spa.
On race day, Larker would roll off starting 14th while starting last was first Spa last-place finisher the #25 Virgin Racing of Eddie Wycombe. Wycombe would remain in last for the first five turns before he knocked the #8 Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro of Tracey Dent into the final spot, who would trail for lap 1. Dent would herself move up the next lap, knocking the #7 Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro of Carol Dent into the last spot for Lap 2. Carol would trail for the next two laps, and was in the final position, when the battle for last quickly ended. While running in 12th, Larker made a move to head to pit road, reporting of a flat tire, but as he made his way to pit road, the driver was unfamiliar with the track, lost control of his car and would slam into the pit road wall head on. Larker was able to climb from his car uninjured, and able to walk to the paddock under his own power, while his car was pushed behind the wall by officials, the only retiree of the race.
Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 19th the #8 of Tracey Dent, 18th the #7 of Carol Dent, 17th was second Silverstone last-place finisher the #6 Red Bull Racing of Mark Owens and 16th was the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes of Mike Pearson.
