Formula 1: Rookie David Solomon becomes the first driver to the trail the field at Zandvoort

David Solomon picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Red Bull Formula One Series career in the Season 2 Grand Prix of the Netherlands at the Circuit Zandvoort when his #26 Scuderia Toro Rosso completed all 8 laps under power.

The finish came in his 4th career start. In the SCRL Red Bull Formula One Series, it's the 1st for car #26 and the 7th were the car was running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 5th for the #26 and the 207th were the car was running. Solomon was one of seven rookies who signed up to compete in the highest Formula division the SCRL had to offer. Solomon's career started off with a 12th at Melbourne, 9th at Bahrain before finishing 14th in the last round at Hockenheimring.

On race day, Solomon rolled off 19th while starting in the final spot was the #77 Williams Martini Racing of Bryson Hill but he wouldn't hold on to the position for long as he knocked the #55 Scuderia Toro Rosso of Tanner Hill into the final spot by Turn 2, with Hill trailing for the first lap. Hill would continue to struggle to stay caught up with the field as he would fall almost a second behind by lap five, but he would find something as he was able to close back in and by Lap 6 he had passed Solomon and knocked him back into the final spot. Solomon would try as hard as he could to gain a spot over the final two laps but was unsuccessful, finishing 35 seconds behind the race leaders.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 19th the aforementioned #55 of Tanner Hill, 20th was the #19 Williams Martini Racing of Patrick Smith, 19th was the #77 of Bryson Hill and 18th was the #44 Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team of Steve Larker.
