Formula 2: Contact with teammate Jack Canaramo at Donington Park gives Jason Larker the second last-place finish of his F2 career

Jason Larker picked up the 2nd last place finish of his SCRL Formula 2 Series career in Round 9 at Donington Park Circuit when his #4 Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team completed all 8 laps under power.

The finish, which came in his 9th career start, was his first on the circuit since Round 4 at Circuit de Spa Francorchamps when he was involved in a single-car accident after 4 of 6 laps, 5 races ago. In the SCRL Formula 2 Series, it's the 2nd for car #4 and the 9th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 10th for the #4 and the 217th where the car was still running. After trailing the field at Spa, Larker finished 18th and 10th at Hungaroring before finishing 6th and 4th in the last round at Catalunya.

On race day, Larker rolled off starting 14th while starting last was the #15 Force India F1 Team of Chakat Duskwatcher, a position that Duskwatcher would hold all the way up until the final turn when Larker made contact with his teammate the #3 Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team of Jack Canaramo as the two cars would spin off track, taking the #22 BMW Sauber F1 Team of Daniel Price with them. While none of the drivers would receive any major damage, the cars would all trail the field for the remaining laps.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 18th was first Silverstone last-place finisher the #2 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes of Leonard Pearson and 17th was the #8 Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro of Tracey Dent.
