Formula 2: Flat tire at the start keeps Eddie Wycombe last at Spa

Eddie Wycombe picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Formula 2 Series career in Round 3 at Circuit de Spa Francorchamps when his #25 Virgin Racing completed all 6 laps under power.

The finish came in his 3rd career start. In the SCRL Formula 2 Series, it's the 1st for car #25 and the 3rd where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 11th for the #25 and the 206th where the car was still running. Wycombe has been completing in the SCRL for several years now and has found success having picked up two career wins. Wycombe's F2 career started off with a 9th in both races at Silverstone and was looking to improve on his season.

Wycombe stalls at the start
On race day, Wycombe was scheduled to roll off starting 12th while starting last was the #10 AT&T Williams of Devohn Blue, but as soon as the cars were given the command, Wycombe's car would stall on track and was forced to be towed back to pit lane as the green flag was waved. Wycombe's team would look over the car and find out that the car had a flat left front tire. The team would quickly give their driver four fresh tires and sent him back out on the track, and as hard as Wycombe tried to catch up, but was unable to do so.
