Formula 3: Jacob Rose trails for the first time in his career at Hungaroring

Jacob Rose picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Formula 3 Series career in Round 8 at Hungaroring when his #7 McAfee / Bing completed all 10 laps under power.

The finish came in his 8th career start. In the SCRL Formula 3 Series, it's the 1st for car #7 and the 6th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 12th for the #7 and the 212th where the car was still running. Jacob was one of 11 rookies making their debut in the SCRL's lowest Formula division. Jacob finished 4th and 14th at Catalunya, before finishing 21st and then scored his first career SCRL sanctioned win in the second round at Silverstone. Finish of 14th and 12th would follow in the last round at Hockenheimring.

On race day, Rose rolled off starting 18th while starting last was two time last-place finisher the #97 Advance Auto Parts of Damian Blue a position that Damian would hold for only four turns as Damian knocked the #9 Target of Christian Russell into the final spot, a position Russell would hold for the first lap. By the time the field had worked their way to Turn 5, Russell had passes Jacob and knocked him into the last spot. Rose would try as hard as he could over the next eight laps, but he was unable to gain any spots.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 22nd was the aforementioned #9 of Christian Russell, 21st was second Catalunya last-place finisher the #8 BMC / Embrase / Hyundai Brazil of Elliott Rose, 20th was the #5 CITGO / PDVSA of Greg Torres and 19th was the #11 GEICO / Mouser Electronics of Nathan Ormond.
