Daniel Price picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Formula 2 Series career in Round 6 at Hungaroring when his #22 BMW Sauber F1 Team completed all 10 laps under power.
The finish came in his 6th career start. In the SCRL Formula 2 Series, it's the 1st for car #22 and the 7th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 12th for the #22 and the 211th where the car was still running. Price had never completed SCRL race until he made his debut in the F2's first ever race at Silverstone, where he finished 7th and 3rd and in the next round at Spa, he would finish 9th and 8th before finishing 15th in the last round at Hungaroring.
On race day, Price would roll off starting 15th while starting last was first Hungaroring last-place finisher the #11 Renault F1 Team of Muhammad Zain Abdullah. When the green flag came out, Abdullah would get a slow start and would trail for the first lap but by the time the field had gotten to Turn 5, Price had slide off track some and fallen back to last as the driver tried to get back onto the track. Price would trail his first lap on the second lap and as much as he tried to gain any ground over the final eight laps, it wasn't enough, as Price finished 34 seconds behind the race leaders.
Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 20th was the aforementioned #11 of Muhammad Zain Abdullah, 19th was the HRT F1 Team of Tanner Bell, 18th was second Silverstone last-place finisher the #6 Red Bull Racing of Mark Owens and 17th was the #3 Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team of Jack Canaramo.
