The finish came in his 9th career start. In the SCRL Formula 3 Series, it's the 1st for car #12 and the 7th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 6th for the #12 and the 215th where the car was still running. Ebrahimian is still somewhat of a rookie in the SCRL, having made his debut in the SCRL Snap-On Tools Whelen Southern Series before competing in the SCRL NASCAR Legends Series before signing on to driver in the lowest Formula division the SCRL sanctions; the Formula 3 division. Ebrahimian finished 13th and 18th at Catalunya, 6th and 15th at Silverstone, 9th and 10th at Hockenheimring before finishing 12th in the last round at Hungaroring.
On race day, Ebrahimian rolled off starting 9th while starting last the #16 RC Cola of Oscar Isaac, a position that Isaac would hold briefly as he made a three wide move in Turn 1, knocking the #5 CITGO / PDVSA of Greg Torres into the final spot. Torres would trail for the first lap before knocking the #10 Target of Laura Delano into the final spot on Lap 2, but her stay in the final spot when last only one lap as she knocked Greg back into last on Lap 3. Torres would continue to trail the field as the laps went on while Ebrahimian continued to struggle with a power handing car and by the time the white flag waved, he had fallen back to 22nd, just in front of Torres. As the field raced toward Turn 1, Greg made a move and passed Ebrahimian, knocking him into the final spot. As much as Ebrahimian tried to get back around Torres over the remaining 10 turns, he was unable to, finishing last for just the second time in his career.
Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 22nd the aforementioned #5 of Greg Torres, 21st was the #10 of Laura Delano, 20th was the #9 Target of Christian Russell and 19th for the second race in a row was the #11 GEICO / Mouser Electronics of Nathan Ormond.
SCRLASTCAR STATISTICS
*This was the first time the #12 had finished last in a Formula 3 race as well as at Kyalami.
*The only other time Ebrahimian has trailed the field was in the Season 4 SCRL NASCAR Legends Series Virginia 500 at the Martinsville Speedway when his #75 Kentucky Fried Chicken Special Plymouth was involved in a multi-car crash after 4 of 50 laps.
