The finish came in his 6th career start. In the SCRL Formula 3 Series, it's the 1st for car #6 and the 5th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 16th for the #6 and the 209th where the car was still running. Fox is one of the most successful drivers in the entire history of the SCRL, having scored 12 career wins and is a former two time champion in the SCRL and he was looking to bring that same experience to the SCRL's smallest Formula division in hopes of finding more success. Fox's F3 career started off with a 20th and 6th at Catalunya, 10th and 13th at Silverstone before finishing 12th in the first Hockenheimring event.
On race day, Fox would roll off starting 12th while starting last was the #17 Automatic Fire Sprinklers of Toma Lakatos, a position that he would hold for only a few seconds as the #14 ABC Supply Co. of Ray Dent would stall at the start and would be towed back to the pits as the crew tried to look over the car as the race went green. Dent's crew quickly discovered their driver only had suffered a flat tire, and quickly put on four new tires on the car and sent their driver back out on track, nearly a full minute behind the race leaders. Dent would remain in last through the first caution and was finally allowed to catch back up to the field, when the green flag came back out, it would take only five turns for the battle for last to end.
Running in 19th at the time, Fox suffered what many drivers had done in previous races as the track as he wheel hopped going into the corner and spun out in the esses, bringing out the race ending caution, and giving Fox the eighth last-place finish of his SCRL career.
Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 22nd was the #28 DHL / Sun Drop Citrus Soda of Zachary Billson, 21st was the aforementioned #14 of Ray Dent, 20th was the #2 IZOD of Carter Joey and 19th was the #17 of Toma Lakatos.
