The finish came in his 5th career start. In the SCRL Formula 3 Series, it's the 1st for car #97 and the 4th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 2nd for the #97 and the 208th where the car was still running. Blue was one of several rookies looking to start their career off in the Formula's lowest division with the hopes of one day racing against the very best the SCRL had to offer. In his debut, Blue finished 7th and 21st at Catalunya, before finishing 21st and 6th in the last round at Silverstone.
On race day, Blue would roll off starting 6th while starting last was the #14 ABC Supply Co. of Ray Dent. Dent would hold onto the final spot only through the esses when chaos broke out with the #5 CITGO / PDVSA of Greg Torres taking the final spot for the first lap and would keep it until the next circuit around, Blue had taken last for the first time, trailing for the 2nd and 3rd laps. When the green came back out, trouble again happened in the esses as second Silverstone last-place finisher the #21 Exide Batteries of Simon Fox would spin out and trail for Laps 4 through 6. As the field rode around behind the pace car to finish the race under yellow, Blue, who was running in 20th at the time, began to start smoking, while he would coast back around to the start/finish line, he would be scored as the last driver.
Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 22nd the aforementioned #21 of Simon Fox, 21st was the #54 of Sebastian Dent, 20th was the #3 Shell V-Power / Pennzoil Ultra of Samet Ozkan and 19th was the #14 of Ray Dent.
