Formula 3: Elliott Rose goes from first in Round 1 to last in Round 2 at Catalunya

Elliott Rose picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Formula 3 Series career in Round 2 at the Circuit de Catalunya when his #8 BMC / Embrase / Hyundai Brazil completed all 8 laps under power.

The finish came in his 2nd career start. In the SCRL Formula 3 Series, it's the 1st for car #8 and the 2nd where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 16th for the #8 and the 201st where the car was still running. Rose had been one of eleven drivers who was making their debut in the SCRL in the last round at Catalunya. Rose would start second on the day, but by the time the field had entered Turn 1, Rose had taken and lead and would drive on uncontested to join an exclusive club to have won in their debut race.

On race day, Rose would roll off starting last by virtue of the Formula 3 rules, where the driver who won the first round would start last in the second. Rose wouldn't be in last for long as he made a move in Turn 1 and knocked the #4 National Guard of Brandon Brown into last, as Brown would trail the field for the first lap, but by the time the field had made their way to Turn 3, Brown had knocked Rose back into the final spot, as Rose would try as best he could, but would never gain a spot over the last six laps.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 22nd the #16 RC Cola of Oscar Isaac, 21st was the #97 Advance Auto Parts of Damian Blue, 20th was the aforementioned #4 of Brandon Brown and 19th was the #21 Exide Batteries of Simon Fox.
