Kurt Trenchermen picked up the 1st last-place finish of his SCRL CatDog Pro Series West career in Thursday's Armed Forces 150 at the Kern County Raceway Park when his #52 51 Fifty Energy Drink Ford was involved in a multi-car accident after 16 of 27 laps.
The finish came in Trenchermen's 10th career series start. Coming into the West Series, Trenchermen was one of many drivers still looking to make a name for themselves as well as pick up that first ever win. In his series debut at Phoenix, Trenchermen was involved in a wreck and finished 23rd and a best finish of 4th at Twin Ring Motegi Superspeedway had him sitting in 23rd in points.

Starting last on the field was Mesa Marin last-place finisher the #17 MMI Services / Steak & Grape Chevrolet of Maestro Polla but by the time the field had completed the first lap Iowa last-place finisher the #2 WestWorld Computers Chevrolet of AJ Jones would trail the field before the #9 William Rast / Sunrise Ford / Lucas Oil of King Soking would trail the field on the 2nd and 3rd lap. Around that time the first caution would come out and Phoenix last-place finisher the #55 First Impression Press / Hinkley Lighting Toyota of Oscar Isaac would get damage and would take over last on the fourth lap and countless pit stops would make him go several laps down and appeared he was on his way to becoming the first driver to finish last in two West Series races.
On the 16th Lap chaos broke out on the backstretch as the #52 of Trenchermen would be hit in the driver's door by the #26 Gene Price Motorsports / Star Nursery Ford of Laura Delano as Trenchermen would flip six times before landing on all four wheels, the driver would climb out of the car shaken up he would be uninjured, but the car would be done for the night.
