Throwback Legends: Early mechanical problems gives Chad30 first last place finish at North Carolina

Chad30 picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL NASCAR Legends Series career in the S2 American 500 at the North Carolina Motor Speedway when his #30 Dodge fell out with electrical trouble after 28 of the 49 laps.

The finish, came in his 26th career series start in the then named ONL(Oreius Nascar Leagues). Chad30 had made his league debut earlier in the season at Riverside and entering the 26th event of the season he has been unimpressive expect for a top ten finish that had him sitting 22nd in points.

On race day Chad30 would roll off the grid in 35th spot but starting last on the field was the #77 unsponsored Ford of Jus Nimh who was making one of his last ever starts in the SCRL. By the time the leaders had reached lap 28, nearly half the field had been lapped by Truttle when a car started to smoke down the backstretch, that car turned out to be the #30 as Chad30's team would quickly order the driver to shut off the engine as he coasted into the garage his day done and he was the only retiree of the event.

Rounding out the bottom five was Martinsville last place finisher of the unsponsored #72 Ford of CGKS23, the unsponsored #04 Dodge of eRok, the #38 Howard Ford driven by Rude-D831 and lastly the #02 unsponsored Dodge of eagle boy.

Today, Chad30 is no longer in the racing community as his final start at Texas World in the next round would mark his retirement. Race winner Truttle picked up his 11th career SCRL NASCAR Legends win in the race and continues to compete to this day and holds the record for most wins in a career with 23.
