The finish came in her 14th career start. In the SCRL Formula 3 Series, it's the 1st for car #10 and the 5th from a crash. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 19th for the #10 and the 244th from a crash.
Delano was a rookie, having never competed in a SCRL race before signing up to compete in the SCRL's lowest Formula division; Formula 3. Delano finished 10th in her debut at Catalunya before finishing 16th in the next event at the track. A 14th and a 9th at Silverstone would be followed with a series best 3rd in the first Hockenheimring before finishing 17th in the second event. A 17th and 7th at Hungaoring, 21st in the first event before scoring a runner up finish at Kyalami. A 4th and a 12th at Monza, before scoring her second runner up first in the first round at Monaco before finishing 22nd in the last round.
On race day, Delano rolled off starting in the final spot a position that she would hold for the first three laps before knocking two time last-place finisher the #2 IZOD of Carter Joey to last on Lap 4. Joey's stay in the final spot would only last one lap as the very next lap second Monza last-place finisher the #4 National Guard of Brandon Brown, who was running in 14th, lost control of his car going into Turn 4 and slammed into the guard rail, sending his car back out onto the track. While the #9 Target of Christian Russell was able to avoid Brown, Delano wasn't as lucky as she slammed into him with enough force that it detached the left front wheel of her car, sending it up into the air and nearly landing in the grandstand that was nearby. Delano was able to limp back around to pit road and into the garage, done for the day, the only car to not finish on the lead lap.
The remaining Bottom Five were: 22nd was the aforementioned #2 of Carter Joey, 21st was the #4 of Brandon Brown, 20th was second Silverstone last-place finisher the #21 Exide Batteries of Simon Fox and 19th was second Hungaroring last-place finisher the #7 McAfee / Bing of Jacob Rose.
Entering the season finale at Red Bull Ring, the SCRLASTCAR battle will come down between Carter Joey, Damian Blue, Simon Fox, Zachary Billson, Elliott Rose and Jacob Rose. If Joey or Blue finish last at Red Bull, they will win the championship outright no matter what the other drivers do. If Blue, Fox, Billson, Elliott or Jacob finish last they can win the championship by way of a tie breaker as long as Joey or Blue don't finish in the Bottom Ten.
