Racing's first Pegasus Zebrataur, Blaise Zebrataur, trails in caution free race at St. Petersburg; SCRLASTCAR battle set for Surfers Paradise

Blaise Zebrataur picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Formula E Series Presented by Twitter career in Monday's St. Petersburg ePrix at the Streets of St. Petersburg when his #67 Hartman Oil completed all 5 laps under power.

The finish came in his 11th career start. In the SCRL Formula E Series, it's the 1st for car #67 and the 7th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 3rd for the #67 and the 227th where the car was still running.

After the retirement of Oreius Centaur after Season 4 of the SCRL NASCAR Legends Series, a new driver would take his place with Blaise, a pegasus zebrataur, making his debut in the SCRL's second highest Formula division. Blaise finished 18th in his debut at Adelaide while in his second ever start, Blaise finished runner up to Nick Speed at Shanghai. A 18th at Vancouver, 15th at Monaco, 7th at Toronto, 16th at Long Beach, 11th at Mexico City, 16th at Watkins Glen, 8th at Montreal before finishing 20th in the last round at Suzuka.

On race day, Blaise rolled off starting 20th while starting in the final spot was the #20 Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka of TJ Dent. Dent would remain in the final spot for the first two laps before making a move in Turn 3, knocking Blaise back into the final spot on Lap 3. Over the next two laps, Blaise tried everything he could to gain a spot to prevent himself from finishing last, but due to a tight track with limited passing places, Blaise was unable to and would trail for the first time in his short career.

The remaining Bottom Five were: 21st was Monaco last-place finisher the #17 Automatic Fire Sprinklers of Gregg Speed, 20th was the aforementioned #20 of TJ Dent, 19th was the #14 ABC Supply Co. of Joe Jefferson and 18th was the #98 Integrity Energee Drink of Joshua Rush.

With one race to go, the battle for the SCRLASTCAR Championship will come down to the season finale as Sabre Jr. and Aaron John-Steel both have two last-place finishes, if either driver finished last they will win the championship outright. However also in the hunt for the championship are one time last-place finishers themselves; Danyal Gitirokh, Kerri Love, Anthony Stewart, Gregg Speed, Jeff Cornils and Nick Productions, if any of those drivers finish last they can win the championship. If any new driver finishes last, John-Steel can lock up the championship as long as Sabre Jr. doesn't finish in the Bottom Five, with Sabre Jr. having more Bottom Ten finishes to break the tiebreaker.
