ARCA Sportsman: Andrew Olsen last lap spin at Heartland Park makes him first driver to trail the field at a road course in series history

Andrew Olsen picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL ARCA Sportsman Series career in Tuesday's Season 1 Coca-Cola 150k at the Heartland Park Topeka when his #9 Haas Automation / Food City Toyota completed all 13 laps under power.

The finish came in his 3rd start. In the SCRL ARCA Sportsman Series, it's the 1st for car #9 and the 2nd where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 7th for the #9 and the 246th where the car was still running.

Olsen was one of twelve drivers making their SCRL debuts by signing up to compete in the third highest ranked series under the ARCA banner; the SCRL ARCA Sportsman Series, looking to possibly one day to complete in the SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series. In his stock car debut, Olsen finished finished a disappointing 26th at Toledo before finishing 20th at Mansfield in the last round.

In qualifying at the two mile road course, Olsen would qualify 28th, a full seven seconds behind Grayson Acevedo's pole winning time, while starting last was the #77 Jasper Engines / Lucas Oil Dodge of Muhammad Zain Abdullah.

When the race started, Dent would remain in last for the first few turns before knocking the #62 U-Haul / Lucas Oil Dodge of Rocco Twyman into last place with Twyman tailing for the first two laps before knocking the #79 Auto Value / Bumper To Bumper / Lucas Oil Dodge of Kenny Webster on Lap 3 when Webster spun out in Turn 7. Webster would remain in last for the next three laps until knocking the #38 Jani-King Ford of Josephi Krakowski into last on Lap 7, a spot he would hold for two laps before Twyman would retake the final spot on Lap 10. It appeared that Twyman was on the path to scoring his fifth career last-place finish, but on the final lap, Olsen would lose control and spun out in Turn 7 like many other drivers and would trail for the final lap of the race.

The remaining Bottom Five were: 28th was the #62 of Rocco Twyman, 27th was the #79 of Kenny Webster, 26th was the #38 of Josephi Krakowski and 25th was the #22 Raybestos / Supergard Chevrolet of Erik Sieg.
