Formula 2: Tracey Dent gives Ferrari their first last-place finish of the season at Magny-Cours; becomes the first driver to fail to complete a lap in series history

Tracey Dent picked up the 1st last place finish of her SCRL Formula 2 Series career in Round 12 at Circuit de Nevers - Magny-Cours when her #8 Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro was involved in a single-car crash without completing any of the 8 laps.

The finish came in her 12th career start. In the SCRL Formula 2 Series, it's the 1st for car #8 and the 3rd from a crash. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 17th for the #8 and the 236th from a crash. Tracey is one of the newest member of the Dent family to join the SCRL, being the daughter of the also debuting Carol Dent, and being the fifth overall member of that family to try and make a career, following Ty, TJ, Ray and Carol as Tracey was signed to drive for the legendary Ferrari team in a attempt at a championship. In Tracey's debut, she finished 18th and 13th at Silverstone, 16th and 19th at Spa, 19th and 11th at Hungaroring before in her 7th career start, Tracey scored her first career win at Catalunya. A 9th in the second event at Cataluyna would be followed with a 17th and a 14th at Doington Park before finishing 19th in the last round at Magny-Cours.

On race day, Tracey rolled off starting 19th while starting last was first Magny-Cours last-place finisher the #17 Scuderia Toro Rosso of Zachary Fitzwater Jr. but he wouldn't stay there for long as the field entered Turn 1, Tracey would go to fast entering the turn, sliding off the track and hitting the tire barrier hard, bringing out the first caution of the day and ending her day before it even began. Tracey's car would be towed back to the garage as the team looked over the car but it would be pointless, the car was beyond repair

The next two spots would be filled by drivers who would be involved in a wreck in Turn 5 that same lap as 20th was the #20 HRT F1 Team of Tanner Bell, who was involved in a crash in Turn 5, with his car flipping over twice, but Bell was able to limp back around to the pits, crossing the start/finish line to complete one lap before pulling behind the wall. 19th was the #23 BMW Sauber F1 Team of Cole Nixey, who was the car that ran into Bell's car that forced him to flip over, as Nixey would limp around to complete two laps before pulling behind the wall.

The remaining Bottom Five would be filled until the last caution as first Catalunya last-place finisher the #10 AT&T Williams of Devohn Blue and second Silverstone last-place finisher the #6 Red Bull Racing of Mark Owens would both crash hard in Turn 1, with Blue's car unable to continue, while Owens would limp back around to complete one more lap before pulling behind the wall.
