Turd Ferguson trails the field at Kyalami; Silverpaw and Al-Samarai set for championship battle at Nurburgring.

Turd Ferguson picked up the 2nd last place finish of his SCRL Sun Energy Whelen Euro Elite 2 career in Round 11 at Kyalami Circuit when his #28 Micromoney Ford completed all 11 laps under power.

The finish, which came in his 11th career start, was his first on the circuit since November 19, 2018, in Round 6 at Sebring where he completed all 7 laps under power, 5 races ago. In the SCRL Sun Energy Whelen Euro Elite 2, it's the 2nd for car #28 and the 6th for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 9th for the #28 and the 203rd for running at the finish.

After scoring his first last-place finish at Sebring, Ferguson has picked it up in the last few races with back-to-back 9th places finishes at Yas Marina and Catalyuna and back-to-back 11th place finishes at Red Bull Ring and in at Monaco in the last round.

On race day, Ferguson rolled off starting 15th while Red Bull Ring last-place finisher the #27 Whelen Chevrolet of Jimmy Potter started in the final spot. By the time drivers raced through Turn 1, the #9 SCM Medical Ford of Ace Horsebutt had taken the final spot and trailed for the first lap, by Lap 2 Ferguson entered the battle for the first time and lost track with the field, falling nearly four seconds behind by Lap 4, and on the very next lap, Ferguson knocked Horsebutt back to the final spot on Lap 6 and if they stayed how they were, it would have been Ace's first last-place finish in his career. However it was only one lap later that Ace passed Ferguson to last, and as much as he tried, Ferguson was unable to gain any spots in the remaining for laps of the race.

The remaining Bottom Five were; 16th was the #9 of Ace Horsebutt, 15th was the #27 of Jimmy Potter, 14th was the #11 Vriends Chevrolet of Chakat Lightingblaze and 13th was the #5 Orion Ford of Dale Jones.

With one race left to go at Nurburgring, the championship battle has come down to two drivers; Chakat Silverpaw and Zina Al-Samarai. Silverpaw and Al-Samarai both have three last place finishes, and if either one finishes last, they will score the championship. If Silverpaw finished in the Bottom Ten while Samari finished in the Bottom Five, Silverpaw would win with four extra Bottom Five. The only way Samarai can win the championship is if he finishes last, if anyone else finishes in the final spot, Silverpaw wins on way of the tie breaker.
