Euro Elite 2: Late race pileup at Sebring gives Turd Ferguson first career last-place finish

Turd Ferguson picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Sun Energy Whelen Euro Elite 2 career in last Monday's Round 6 at the Sebring International Raceway when his #28 Micromoney Ford completed all 7 laps under power.

The finish came in his 6th career start. In the SCRL Sun Energy Whelen Euro Elite 2, it's the 1st for car #28 and the 3rd for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 7th for the #28 and the 129th for running at the finish.

Turd Ferguson is a rookie entering the SCRL's brand newest series and was one of eleven drivers to sign up originally to compete for a championship. In his league debut, Ferguson finished in 6th at Monza, a career best runner up finish at Brands Hatch and Circuit de Spa, 13th at Hungaroring and in the last round he survived a late race wreckfest and led his first ever lap, which turned out to be the final lap, and scored his first career win at Hockenheimring.

The entry list for grew from 14 cars to 15 as Season 3 SCRL IROC Series Champion Draco Drakul made his return to the league for the first time in over a year, as he was entered in the #54.

On race day, Ferguson would roll off 6th while starting last was the #31 of Mikail Kose. Kose trailed the field for the first four laps uncontested, losing touch with the rest of the drivers by nearly a second. Entering Turn 6, Ferguson was running in the Top 10 and ran into the back of another driver, causing his hood to bend and making the driver unable to see. Ferguson had to coast back to pit road as the team worked fast to try and remove the hood and get their driver back out onto the track. After nearly thirty seconds, they finally did and Ferguson rode around hoping to get a caution, but one would never come, and he finished forty one seconds behind the race leaders.

The remaining Bottom Five also finished on the lead lap; 14th was the aforementioned #31 of Mikail Kose, 13th was the #8 Italicus Ford of Leroy Jones, 12th was Monza last-place finisher the #1 Leonessa Group Ford of Jason Larker and finishing 11th was the #33 Mavi Jeans Chevrolet of Soran Taheri.
