East: Zapatos Amarrados last as first lap crash fills up bottom five at Darlington

Zapatos Amarrados picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL CatDog Pro Series East career in today's Gatorade 200 at the Darlington Raceway when his #70 Viva La Raza Racing Toyota was involved in a multi-car accident after 1 of the 37 laps.

The finish came in Yepez's 6th career series start.

Coming into Season 1 of the SCRL CatDog Pro Series West, Amarrados had yet to make his mark in the SCRL however a a best finish of 3rd at South Boston earlier in the season had given him hope and a 4th at a wreckfest event at Road Atlanta in the previous round gave him some momentum heading into the track known as "The Lady in Black" and "The Track Too Tough To Tame".

Starting last on the field was the #31 Integrated Metal Products Toyota of Maria Valera but her stay would last only as the field headed into the Backstretch as a huge multi-car crash broke out and when the smoke settled, the backstretch was a junkyard as replies whould show that Amarrados's car would be hit and he would flip ten times before landing on it's wheels, his car done for the night.

Rounding out the bottom five were others drivers also involved in the wreck: the #49 Eneos Motor Oil Toyota of Al Lagasse, the #7 Woods Towing & Transportation Toyota of Evan Hunter, the #96 Emco Gears / Blue Ox Chevrolet of Diego Yepez and the #62 Octane / SavannahPawn.com Chevrolet driven by rookie Ryan Rush.
