East: Early mechanical problems gives Tim Randolph last at South Boston

Tim Randolph picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL CatDog Pro Series East career in today's South Boston 150 at the South Boston Speedway when his #47 PMC / Health Bridge Imaging Toyota fell out with tire problems after 13 of the 32 laps.

The finish came in his 3rd career series start. Coming into the East series, Tim Randolph has had some highs, two wins in his entire career, but had yet to really made a name for himself in the SCRL as he had been seen as an average driver but could never get the finish he had worked for.

Starting last on the field was the #4 Toyota Racing Development Toyota driven by Brian Fox and Fox would remain in last for the first two laps before giving up last to the #32 Van Dyk Baler / Bollegraaf Chevrolet of Kevin McHugh for lap 3, the #63 John Salemi Racing Toyota of Zachary Fitzwater on Lap 4 and 5, the #31 Integrated Metal Products Toyota of Maria Valera on Lap 6.

Maria's stay would last two laps before the #98 Curb Records / Celebrity Fight Night Chevrolet of Chris Kyle too over last for the 9th and 10 laps before the #22 Oakley / Bruster's Ice Cream Dodge of Cam Nixey would drop back to last for the 11th lap. Around this time, Tim Randolph began to slow in Turn 3 and 4 and made a pit stop on lap tweleve, dropping him to last as the team reported tire problems as the cause and by the 14th lap, the car was offically retired.

Rounding out the bottom five was the #18 Coca-Cola / Toyota Toyota driven by Marcus Saatchi who lost three laps due to a flat tire and finished 35th, 34th was the #15 Bienvenidos a NASCAR / Mayor Cars Toyota driven by Rodriguez Zapatos, in 33rd was the #32 Van Dyk Baler / Bollegraaf Chevrolet of Kevin McHugh and 32nd Brian Fox, all who finished under power.
