With the team choosing to skip Richmond, Edison would next race at the 1.017 mile track, the site of Edison's only Busch race in the series at the track, a 24th.

The entry list for Rockingham would be bumped back up to a full field of 40 cars, as the full time drivers.

In qualifying, rookies Derek Greene for the second race in a row would impress, winning his second pole in a row with a lap time of 22.678 seconds, just one thousandths of a second over Richmond race winner Finn Smith. Edison would struggle some in qualifying, posting a time of 22.687, while only nine thousands of a second slower, it would place Edison in 17th spot. Posting the slowest time in qualifying was the #24 Komfort Koach / Budweiser Ford of Michael Brown, posting a time of 22.699 seconds, only 0.021 seconds behind Greene's pole winning time.

On race day, Brown's stay in last was brief as almost instantly chaos broke out as Edison was spun out by the #87 Domino's Pizza Chevrolet of Dilan Ebrahimian sending Edison head-on into the inside concrete wall, bringing out the first caution. Behind them another crash broke out as the #88 Service Specialties Pontiac of Rohan Marmot was spun out by the #07 Bob Banning Pontiac of Jeff White, blocking the track as the #4 Thurman Enterprises Pontiac of Corrie Scott would get severe damage to the front end of her car as she was forced to make a pit stop to repair damage, trailing for the first two laps before she would knock defending CART Series Champion the #32 Econo Lodge / Budweiser Pontiac of Riley Spurlytube into last on Lap 3, when he too had to make a pit stop to repair damage. When the green flag came back out, Spurlytube was trailing the field when the field ran down the backstretch when the battle for last came to a sudden end.

While battling for 8th, the #23 Miller High Life Oldsmobile of Samet Ozkan made contact with Richmond race winner the #19 West Hartford Tool & Die Pontiac of Finn Smith as Ozkan did an incredible job saving the car from hitting the backstretch wall, but while trying to merge back into traffic, he made contact with Smith again, sending both cars into the outside wall, as well as collecting Daytona race winner the #14 Banner House Handbags Oldsmobile of Christian Russel. Ozkan would hit the wall with such impact that it sent his car into the air and on only two wheels before coming back down, and with the rest of the field running at full speed toward the turn, it was nearly impossible for any driver to avoid the crash, with Edison being one of them, destroying his car.

Edison would be scored as last despite the fact that three other drivers were also involved in the crash and scored as having completed five laps, those being the #0 Hendrick Honda Pontiac of Sebastian LeNoble, the #45 Luck Stone / Dryden Oil Pontiac of Boston Jones and the #48 Williford Prod. Builders Pontiac of Matt McIntyre, as those drivers would be scored 39th through 37th.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were in 36th was the aforementioned #07 of Jeff White, who was barely able to limp his car past the start/finish line before pulling behind the garage, being scored as having completed 6 laps.

BUSCH: Late fuel system problems places Season 1 Champion Jack Lagasee last at Richmond

Jack Lagasee picked up the 2nd last place finish of his SCRL Busch Grand National Series career in Tuesday's Wrangler 150 at the Richmond Fairgrounds Raceway when his #28 Skoal Bandit Pontiac completed all 40 laps under power.

The finish, which occurred in his 66th career series start, was his first on the circuit since June 6th 2018, the Coca-Cola 200 at the South Boston Speedway when he was involved in a multi-car crash after 3 of the 30 laps; 17 races ago. In the SCRL Busch Series, it's the 2nd for car #28 and the 22nd for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 14th for the #28 and 289th for running at the finish.

Entering his third straight season driving for the same team and car, Jack entered Season 3 trying to find redemption, as after winning three races in route to winning the inaugural championship in Season 1, Jack would find disappointment in Season 2, while he would win for the second year in the series by winning at South Boston, all Jack could do is finish a disappointing 4th in points. Coming back to drive for the third straight season for the same team, Jack got his third season off with another disappointment after being collected up in the race's second "Big One" and finishing 29th.

The entry list for Richmond would be only 25 cars, as the full time drivers were the only ones allowed to race due to the track only able to hold a small amount of cars at the 0.542 mile short track.

In qualifying, rookies Derek Greene and Jeff White would impress, with both drivers posting an identical lap time of 22.912 seconds, with the pole being awarded to Greene since he posted the time first, giving him his first career pole in just his second attempt. Jack would show he had speed as well posting a time of 22.998, only 0.086 seconds off Greene's pole, placing Lagasee 3rd. Posting the slowest time in qualifying was the #15 Hendrick Honda Pontiac entry of Chase Miller, posting a time of 23.446 seconds, 0.534 seconds behind Greene's pole winning time.

On race day, the battle for last would be an intense one from the start as Miller would quickly knock the #6 Mason Day Paving Chevrolet of Chris Kyle into last on the first lap, before Kyle would knock Daytona last-place finisher the #00 Thomas Bros. Country Ham Oldsmobile of Jeremy Ickle into last on Lap 2. Ickle would remain in last for only one lap before knocking the unsponsored #97 Hill Racing Pontiac of Blaine Hayes into last on Lap 3, but the next time around the unsponsored #1 Shepherd Racing Oldsmobile of David Byers into last on Lap 4. Byers would trail for two laps before knocking Hayes back to last on Lap 3, a spot he would be in for two laps as well before knocking Daytona race winner the #14 Banner House Handbags Oldsmobile of Christian Russel into last on Lap 8. Russel would remain in two laps before knocking Hayes back to last on Lap 10, with Byers taking the spot on Lap 12, Russel again on Lap 14, Kyle on Lap 16, Byers on Lap 17 and Russel again on Lap 18.

At this point, Russel was losing touch with the pack while Jack Lagasee began to slowly fall from his 3rd starting spot, reporting of a problem with his car, Russel would fight back and knocked Kyle back to last on Lap 24, with Kyle trailing for the next three laps before knocking Russel back to last on Lap 27. Jack at this time had fallen outside of the Top 20 and was reporting of a fuel system problem, falling back to last on Lap 31 and would barely avoid going a lap down just as the leaders took the checkered flag.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were; 24th was the aforementioned #14 of Christian Russel, 23rd was the #1 of David Byers, 22nd was the #48 Williford Prod. Builders Pontiac of Matt McIntyre and 21st was the #6 of Chris Kyle.

BUSCH: "Big One" just seconds after start gives Jeremy Ickle the first last-place finish in his SCRL debut; becomes 9th driver in series history to fail to complete a lap

Jeremy Ickle picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Busch Grand National Series career in Monday's Goody's 300 at the Daytona International Speedway when his #00 Thomas Bros. Country Ham Oldsmobile was involved in a multi-car crash without completing any of the 20 laps.

The finish occurred in his 1st career series start. In the SCRL Busch Series, it's the 4th for car #00 and the 29th from a crash. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 12th for the #00 and 275th from a crash.

For the first time in two years, the SCRL returned to the Busch Series, now renamed the SCRL Busch Grand National Series, as a field of forty drivers would sign up to race in the third season of the series, twenty five that would drive the full schedule, and 15 would sign up to drive part-time and race in only the big events on the schedule. Ickle was one of sixteen drivers not only making their Busch Series debuts, but would also be making his overall SCRL start

The entry list for the first race of the season would be filled with all forty drivers, both full and part time, looking to start their season off on a high note on the high banks of the 2.500 mile superspeedway.

In qualifying, Corrie Scott made history by scoring the first pole of her SCRL career in her first ever start with a time of 46.435 seconds, while Ickle would impress in his first ever attempt, posting a time of 46.611, only 0.176 seconds off Scott's pole, placing Greene 17th. Posting the slowest time in qualifying was the #48 Williford Prod. Builders Pontiac entry of Matt McIntyre, who would struggle as he would smack the Turn 2 wall during his lap, posting a time of 51.353 seconds, a full 4.918 seconds behind Scott's pole winning time.

On race day, the battle for last would end as quickly as the race had begun as pole the #4 Thurman Enterprises Pontiac of Corrie Scott made contact with the #22 Miller High Life Oldsmobile as the two cars would travel down the inside of the track entering Turn 1 before coming back across the track right in front of the rest of the field, first hitting the #99 Nelson Building Supply Pontiac of Aaron Lewis, creating a huge big one that would involved 27 of the 40 drivers. Ickle would be in the middle of the field and had nowhere to go as he first hit the #8 Wrangler Jeans Pontiac of Cassie Dent and then get hit from behind by the #30 Pride of Victoria Pontiac of Chakat Duskwatcher, as Ickle's car had severe damage on both ends of his car, unable to drive his car back to the garage as well as the #09 Caspro Mercury of Shane Shields and the #17 Hodgdon / Curb Pontiac of Chakat Lightingblaze as all three drivers would be scored having not completed a lap, but it was Ickle who was scored in last.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were drivers who also had been involved in the crash, but would be scored having two laps before pulling behind the wall; 37th was the aforementioned #8 of Cassie Dent and 36th was the #32 Econo Lodge Pontiac of Riley Spurlytube.
