BUSCH: Reigning ARCA Midget Series Champion Sebastian LeNoble trails for the first time in his Busch Series career at Martinsville

Sebastian LeNoble picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Busch Grand National Series career in Saturday's Miller Time 250 at the Martinsville Speedway when his unsponsored #0 Applegate Racing Chevrolet completed 49 of the 50 laps under power.

The finish occurred in his 3rd career series start. In the SCRL Busch Series, it's the 1st for car #0 and the 24th for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 1st for the #0 and 291st for running at the finish.

Entering the third season of the Busch Series, Sebastian, the former Sebastian Dent, had made a name for himself in the SCRL ARCA Midget Series, where he scored his first ever championship and the first for the Dent family in the SCRL. Sebastian would be one of fifteen drivers to sign up and compete on a part time schedule, racing on tracks that could hold more then forty cars.

In Sebastian's busch debut, he would start 13th and finished a impressive 5th at Daytona. After skipping the season's second race at Richmond, Sebastian next appearance would be at Rockingham, a race he would start 20th and finished a disappointing 39th after crashing out early. With the teams skipping the last round at Hickory, Sebastian's team would next head toward Virginia and Martinsville's legendary half mile track.

The entry list for Martinsville would be bumped back up to a full field of 40 cars, as the full time drivers.

In qualifying, rookie John Smith surprised in qualifying by winning the pole with a lap time of 23.082 seconds. Sebastian would struggle in qualifying, posting a time of 23.577, while 0.495 seconds off Smith's pole, placing him 33rd overall, the worst starting spot of the season. Posting the slowest time in qualifying was the #30 RC Cola Pontiac of Chakat Duskwatcher, who posted a time of 23.791 seconds, 0.709 seconds behind Smith's pole winning time.

On race day, Sebastian would trail for the first two turns before he knocked and passed Rockingham last-place finisher the #21 Chattanooga Chew Pontiac of Derrick Edison, who would trail for the first lap. Edison would struggle to keep up with the drivers in front of him for the next few laps before finally catching and knocking the #88 Service Specialties Pontiac of Rohan Marmot into last on Lap 9. Rohan's stay in the final spot lasted only one lap as he would pass Edison back one lap later as Edison would take last on Lap 10 and he was trailing the field when the race's lone caution came out on Lap 12 when the #3 Wendy's Chevrolet of Michael Creed, who was running in 29th, spun out in Turn 1 after contact from the #13 D & D Tattooing Chevrolet of Chakat Blackpaw, with Creed falling back to last. Creed would remain in the final spot throughout the caution and when the field went back to racing, the #6 Mason Day Paving Chevrolet of Chris Kyle, who was running in 22nd, was forced to make an unscheduled pit stop, with Kyle reporting of a flat tire.

Kyle's team was able to replace all four tires before sending Kyle back out onto the track just in front of the leaders. Kyle would fight hard with race leader Celious Wolf to remain on the lead lap before being passed on Lap 24, with Kyle waiting a hoping to get his lap back, with Kyle staying with Wolf for the next twenty laps, waiting for the time to strike and when Wolf was starting to lap drivers, with Kyle passing Sebastian on Lap 44. Sebastian would try and fight and get back around Kyle but was unable to, with Kyle edging out Sebastian for 39th on the final lap.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were drivers who would also be lapped in the final laps; 38th was the aforementioned #3 of Michael Creed, 37th was the #87 Domino's Pizza Chevrolet of Dilan Ebrahimian and 36th was the #88 of Rohan Marmot.
