In the SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series, it's the 2nd for car #11 and the 3rd for gearbox issues. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 14th for the #11 and the 12th for gearbox issues.

As the field made it's return to the Kentucky Speedway for the third time in series history, Newman was looking to rebound in his first event at the track, finishing 25th one year ago.

In qualifying, Nathan Ormond scored his first career series pole with a time of 30.218 seconds, while Newman posted a time of 30.691 seconds, 0.473 behind Ormond's pole run, placing Newman 20th on the grid while starting last was the #44 Ansell / Menards Toyota of Riley Spurlytube.

When the command was given for drivers to start their engines and begin their lone pace lap, Newman's car began to slow going down the backstretch, pulling to the inside of the track while at the same time, Spurlytube's car began to slow as well, following the pace car and Newman onto pit road. Newman would make the sharp right turn behind the wall as the green flag waved, while Spurlytube's team put on four fresh tires on their car before sending Spurlytube back out onto the track. Newman's crew would work for most of the race to try and get their driver back out on the track, but it was discovered the gearbox was broken, with the car being listed as "out" on Lap 5.

Spurlytube would battle to try and work his way through the field and regain his lap back, as on Lap 7 the unsponsored #69 Kimmel Racing Ford of Ray Dent Jr. would suffer a flat tire and would lose a lap to the leaders, with Spurlytube passing and knocking him in 39th, a position that Dent would hold for the remaining laps while Spurlytube would fight to finish 38th, the first car one lap down.

The finish came in his 9th start. In the SCRL ARCA Sportsman Series, it's the 1st for car #46 and the 6th where the car was still running. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 3rd for the #46 and the 263rd where the vehicle was still running.

Otts was one of several drivers making their SCRL debut by signing up to complete in the SCRL ARCA Sportsman Series, a division created to allow more drivers to compete in a SCRL race while not racing in the top main series. Otts would impress in his first ever race, starting and finishing 8th in the series first ever event at Toledo. A 12th at Mansfield, 13th at Heartland Park, 15th at Lucas Oil would follow before Otts finally got a chance to shine, finishing a career best 3rd at Iowa followed by a 6th in the next round at Rockingham would be followed with a 19th at Winchester and a 11th in the last round at Palm Beach.

Unfortunately, in qualifying Otts would struggle in qualifying losing traction in Turns 1 and 2 nearly spinning out and posting a time of nearly six full seconds off Rocco Twyman's pole winning time that would place Otts in the last spot on the starting grid while Twyman won his third career series pole and second in a row after winning the pole in the last race at the twisting road course of Palm Beach.

Otts would remain in the final spot as the field took the green flag but would get a run going onto the Backstretch as he would knock the #22 Raybestos / Supergard Chevrolet of Erik Sieg into the final spot. Sieg would trail for the first two laps around the half mile track before Sieg would make a move on Lap 3, knocking the #25 Pennzoil / Autolite Chevrolet of Grayson Acevedo into the final spot on Lap 3. Just like with Sieg, Acevedo's stay in last would only be two laps as on Lap 5 he knocked Toledo last-place finisher the #72 Top Choice Lumber Products Chevrolet of Ryan Benjamin into last. Benjamin would be in last for just one lap, knocking Sieg back to last on Lap 6, before being passed again on Lap 7.7

On Lap 9, Otts retook the final spot for the first time before the very next lap he would knock two time last-place finisher the #9 Haas Automation / Food City Toyota of Andrew Olsen into the final spot on Lap 10. Olsen would rebound the next lap by knocking Otts back to last on Lap 11, but Otts again fought back on Lap 12 when he knocked Acevedo back into the final spot. Entering Turn 1, Acevedo had worked his way up a few spots making a three wide move but ran out of room as he ran into the #38 Jani-King Ford of Josephi Krakowski and the #92 Summit Racing Equipment / CompCams Chevrolet of Jacob Britts, causing the three cars to slide up the track with Acevedo spinning out while Otts tried to avoid but misjudged and ran into the back of Acevedo. Both cars would make a pit stop during the caution in a attempt to repair the damage before sending both drivers back out onto the track. Acevedo would rebound slightly by gaining one spot over the final seven laps, while Otts fell to ten seconds behind the race leaders pace and a full two seconds behind Olsen in front of him when the checkered flag waved.

Hanz DeVice picked up the 2nd last place finish of his SCRL ARCA Late Model Series career in the Herr's Live With Flavor! 100 at the Madison International Speedway when his #34 North and East Recycle Chevrolet fell out with header problems after completing 18 of the 30 laps.

The finish, which came in his 11th career series start, was his first on the circuit since the Dixieland 100 at the Wisconsin International Raceway when he completed all 30 laps under power, 9 races ago. In the SCRL ARCA Late Model Series, it's the 2nd for car #34 and the 1st for header issues. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 10th for the #34 and the 22nd for header issues.

After having trailed at Wisconsin, Hanz finished a disappointing 13th in the next round at Elko, 3rd at Lanier, 14th at Salem, 14th at Flat Rock, 11th at Nashville, 5th at Louisville, 8th at South Boston before finishing 8th again in the last round at Winchester as the series would return to the state of Wisconsin for the series first ever trip at the half mile Madison short track.

Georgio Tsutomu stalls at the start.
When the command was given for drivers to start their engines and begin their lone pace lap, Lanier last-place finisher the #53 T&K Concrete Chevrolet of Georgio Tsutomu stalled on the frontstretch and would be towed back to his pit stall while the other 19 drivers started the race. Tsutomu would be discovered to have have a flat left front tire and get back out on track to rejoin the field in the back of the pack at the green flag and would trail for the first three laps before he knocked the unsponsored #28 Ford of Franz DeVice into the last spot on Lap 4, but his stay in last would be brief as Franz knocked Toledo last-place finisher the #09 Mechanical Services Inc. Pontiac of Jeff Cornils into last on Lap 5. Cornils would lose touch with the pack in front of him as he fell to five seconds behind the driver in front of him by the 15th circuit.

Hanz's header breaks entering Turn 1.
At this point, Hanz had worked his way up into the 12th spot on the track on Lap 18 when he entered Turn 1, Hanz's car started to smoke before he began to slow down in Turn 1 as he would stall in Turn 1 as the #29 Bailey's Chevrolet of Richard Torres would run into the back of Hanz, stacking up a group of four cars. Hanz would be transported back to his pit stall, while no caution would come out, as Torres rode around the track deciding to not make a trip to the pits as well, while it wasn't until Lap 22 that Hanz's car was pushed behind the wall, being listed as out on Lap 24, with a broken header the cause while Torres would limp around for the remaining laps, losing one to the race leaders.

ARCA: Mid-race header problems gives Blaise Zebrataur his second career last-place finish; prevents Ray Dent Jr. from getting his first

Blaise Zebrataur picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series career in Sunday's Shore Lunch 200 at the Lucas Oil Raceway when his #52 Federated Auto Parts Chevrolet fell out with header problems after completing 9 of the 20 laps.

The finish came in his 10th start. In the SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series, it's the 1st for car #52 and the 5th for header issues. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 4th for the #52 and the 21st for header issues.

Blaise Zebrataur
Blaise had a lot of pressure on his hooves, as he was the replacement of one of the most longest active and most successful drivers in league history, Oreius Centaur, who retired after competing for 5 years and ranking up 20 career wins as well as winning a championship in the ISCR. Blaise also happened to be stock car racing's first and only pegasus zebrataur to race in a league in the entire history of gaming. Blaise was making only his second ever full time season after having competed full time in Season 2 of the SCRL Formula E Series Presented by Twitter, a season he posted a best finish of 2nd in the series final race of the season at Surfers Paradise and would finish 14th in the overall point standings. Despite having only one full time season under his belt, Blaise was tapped by Ken Schrader Racing to drive full time in the ARCA Series, having signed up for at least three seasons driving for the team in hopes of one day possibly racing in the SCRL's Strictly Stock Series.

In just his first career ARCA start, Blaise would once again impress starting 3rd and would lead 5 laps and would finish 2nd once again, in the next round at his home track, Blaise led 7 laps and was the race leader when the race was extended by way of the Green, White, Checkered rule and had to settle for a 3rd place finish. A disappointing 24th at Nashville would be followed with 6th at Salem, 27th at Talladega, 33rd at Charlotte and a 36th at Gateway before he would score his second runner up finish at Pocono before finishing 14th in the last round at Chicagoland.

In qualifying, Ray Jones scored his first career series pole with a time of 23.503 seconds, winning the pole by one thousandths of a second, while Blaise posting a time of 24.163 seconds, 0.660 behind Jones's pole run, placing Blaise 39th on the grid while starting last was Salem last-place finisher the unsponsored #40 Carter 2 Motorsports Dodge of Matthew Logan

Ray Dent Jr. stalls on pit road.
When the command was given for drivers to start their engines and begin their lone pace lap, the unsponsored #69 Kimnmel Racing Ford of Ray Dent Jr. stalled on pit road and was forced to be pushed into his pit stall while the other 39 drivers started the race. Dent would remain on pit road for two laps as his crew replaced all four tires before sending their driver back out onto the track. Dent would trail the first through the first caution and appeared on his way to his first last place finish of his career. That all changed on Lap 10 when Blaise, who had worked his way up to the 34th spot, began to slow going down the backstretch, his car starting to smoke as he pulled onto pit road and then making that hard left turn into the garage. His team would look under the hood and discovered the header was broken, and with only ten laps to go, the team, would not have enough time to repair it, so their night was done, not taking the final spot until Lap 12, one lap after the car had been listed out by officials while Dent would drive home finishing 39th, avoiding his first last place finish.

Rounding out the Bottom Five all finished on the same lap as the race leaders; 38th was the #15 Renton Coil Spring /  Venturini Motorsports Toyota of Anthony Lopez, 37th was the aforementioned #40 of Matthew Logan and 36th was the unsponsored #99 Roulo Brothers Racing Ford of Grace Takayoma.

While racing with Cook on Lap 13, Cook was tapped by Lowe in Turn 4, causing Cook to spin out briefly on the frontstretch, while no caution would come out, Cook would be passed and would try to pass Lowe back but never could over the remaining seven laps, with Lowe finishing just a half second before Cook.

ARCA Midget: Spin knocks John Hunter out early at New Egypt; now in a three way tie for SCRLASTCAR Championship with four races to go

John Hunter picked up the 2nd last place finish of his SCRL ARCA Midget Series career in Tuesday's Spring Fling 100 at the New Egypt Speedway when his #21 was involved in a multi-car crash after 4 of the 20 laps.

The finish, which came in his 11th career series start, was his first on the circuit since the Vermont 100 at the Devil's Bowl Speedway when he completed all 12 laps under power, 7 races ago. In the SCRL ARCA Midget Series, it's the 2nd for car #21 and the 3rd from a crash. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 21st for the #21 and the 254th from a crash.

After having trailed the field for the first time in his career at Devil's Bowl, John would continue to struggling with a disappointing 15th at Kil-Kare and an even worse 18th place at Indianapolis Speedrome, before finishing 5th at Santa Fe, before struggling once again with a 15 at Columbus. An 11th at Grundy County and a 18th in the last round at Eldora has placed John far down in the championship standings.

In qualifying, Taylor Dent scored his first career series pole with a time of 17.451 seconds with John posting a time of 17.837 seconds, 0.386 seconds behind Dent's pole run, placing John 15th on the grid while starting last was the #90 of Christian Vargas, 0.584 seconds off Dent's pole sitting time.

Vargas's stay in the final spot would be brief as he knocked the #24 of Michael Brown into the final spot by Turn 2 with Brown trailing for the first lap before he knocked the #11 of Keri Benjamin into last by the end of the first lap. Keri's stay in last would for the next three laps as on the 4th lap when the lone caution of the day came out when Keri was spun out by the #19 Servan Sarihan, sending Keri for a spin as John Hunter tried to avoid but slammed into the right side of her car, as well as the #56 of Ethan Walker. Hunter would limp around the track before pulling behind the wall on the next lap, having been scored competing 4 laps, while Walker pulled in the next lap, which is when Hunter officially took the final spot. Despite both cars sitting on pit road, neither car would never make it back out onto the track as the crews worked on both cars to try and be running at the finish, with neither driver making it. Due to finishing last for the second time this season, John is now in a three way tie with Dave Benjamin and Daniel Hunter with four races left to go in the season.

The remaining Bottom Five would be filled by drivers who would finish on the same lap as the race leaders: 18th was the #34 of Conner Thunder, 17th was the aforementioned #19 of Servan Sarihan and 16th was the #24 of Michael Brown.

ARCA: Crash at Chicagoland makes Randy Ward the third straight driver to fail to complete a lap

Randy Ward picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series career in Monday's Ansell ActivArmr 150 at the Chicagoland Speedway when his #4 Cessna Chevrolet was involved in a multi-car crash without completing any of the 33 laps.

The finish came in his 9th start. In the SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series, it's the 1st for car #4 and the 24th from a crash. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 12th for the #4 and the 253rd from a crash.

Entering Season 3 of the SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series, Ward was a rookie who had never competed in a single SCRL race and would sign up to drive in the ARCA's division highest series driving for Turner Scott Motorsports. Ward's ARCA career started off with a disappointing 38th at Daytona in his league and series debut, a 8th at Nashville would be followed up with surprise trip to victory lane in just his 3rd career start. A 12th at Salem, 38th at Talladega, 29th at Charlotte before Ward would return to victory lane for the second time in his career in his 7th start at Gateway before finishing 28th in the last round at Pocono.

Just seconds after the field rolled off pit road, Charlotte last-place finisher the #77 Barbera's Autoland Dodge of Samet Ozkan, who was scheduled to start 26th, stalled on pit road and had to be pushed to his pit stall as the team looked over the car as the field took the green flag, the team discovered that the car had a flat tire and quickly put on four fresh tires and was able to send their driver back out but was told by their spotter to hold off as at that same time, the race's first caution came out.

As the field entered Turn 4, the #94 Harley Davidson of Pikeville / Pop's Chevrolet of Jimmie Fox was racing four wide with Salem last-place finisher the unsponsored #40 Carter 2 Motorsports Dodge of Matthew Logan, the unsponsored #6 Eddie Sharp Racing Chevrolet of Colin Dryburgh and Randy Ward as contact between Fox and Dryburgh caused the two cars to move up the track and into the outside wall, causing Dryburgh's car to flip over while Ward's car flew up into the air, nearly flying over the catch fence as a six car wreck would break out, with Ward being the only car to be scored not competing a lap, his car stopping just two hundred feet from the start/finish line while Dryburgh would limp around for a lap before pulling behind the wall while Logan would make it one extra lap before he made his trip to the garage, but it wasn't until Lap 4 that Ozkan would finally knock Ward back into the final spot.

37th was the #9 Aaron's / Hendrickcars.com Chevrolet of Tom Schmidt, who was running in the 14th spot during the second caution period, began to smoke and slow going down the backstretch, making it to pit road before pulling behind the wall, a quick look under the hood and it was discovered that the header was broken, ending their day after 10 laps.

Rounding out the Bottom Five in 36th was the unsponsored #99 Roulo Brothers Racing Ford of Grace Takayoma, who would be involved in two of the event's three big crashes, and while he did lose multiple laps to the leaders, he was the last driver to be running at the finish, 7 laps down to the race leaders.

When the race started, McKee quickly would start to lose ground to the truck in front of him, that being the unsponsored #30 of Alexander Jones, by the end of the first lap, and then nearly a full second behind after the completion of Lap 2. Blizzardmand would lose only one lap before shi was sent back out on the track to try and nurse the truck home, never losing another lap to the leaders until on Lap 9, shi begin to slow entering Turn 1 and coasted on the lower part of the track to prevent any oil getting in the racing groove and would pull behind the wall, hir day done after competing nine laps while McKee was unable to gain anymore spots and finished 25th.
