The finish came in his 2nd career start. In the SCRL Snap-On Tools Whelen Southern Series, it's the 1st for car #14 and the 2nd for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 5th for the #14 and 121st for reason running at the finish.
Trevor Collins is still a reatlive rookie when it comes to competing in the SCRL as the Whelen Southern Series was created. In his first start for the brand new series, Collins finished 9th, but was bumped up to 8th after Jim Marks was penalized for jumping the start.
On race day, Collins would roll off starting in the 7th spot while the #28 Chevrolet of Trey Wright would roll off in the 20th and final spot. Wright would trail for the first lap before previous Caraway last-place finisher the #71 Vista-Pro Automotive Chevrolet of Jim Marks fell back to the final spot on Lap 2 and would keep it till Lap 5 when the #04 WTQR / Foothill Ford of Joe Jefferson took the final spot, he would then lose the final spot to the #77 Curb Records / Stock Car Steel Chevrolet of Kapuel Ebai on Lap 7. On Lap 10 the #06 Indy 3000 Fast Lube / WRS / Makel Chevrolet of Colin Dryburgh took the final spot and held it until with two laps to go when Collins entered the battle, and was unable to pass Dryburgh, the first last-place finish of his career was his.
The remaining Bottom Five finished on the same lap as the race leaders; 19th was the aforementioned #06 of Colin Dryburgh, 18th was the #04 of Joe Jefferson, 17th was the #77 of Kapuel Ebai and finishing 16th was the #4 DMC Auto Exchange Chevrolet of Chase McDowell.
