Over the next eight events, he would score seven straight Top 5 finishes before scoring his first finish outside the Top 5 by finishing 7th at Michigan, until one round later in the return trip at Riverside, Bulldog67 scored his worst finish to date, a 13th. A 6th at Greenville-Pickens and a 2nd, which was his 4th of the season, at Thompson, placed him firmly in the points lead as the series made a return trip to Bristol, where he had finished 4th earlier in the season.

On race day, Bulldog67 would roll off starting in 4th while starting last was two time last-place finisher the #30 unsponsored Dodge of ItalianDragon. By the time the race had gotten to five laps, Bulldog67's car began to smoke before pulling down onto the apron and onto the main pit road that was on the Frontstretch, pulling into the garage as the car was done for the day.

Throwback Formula E: Chaos on first lap at Watkins Glen leaves Jeff Bright on top of a tire barrier

Jeff Bright picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Formula E Series career in the Season 1 Watkins Glen ePrix at Watkins Glen International when his #5 Scuderia Ferrari was involved in a multi-car crash without completing any of the 5 laps.

The finish came in his 10th start.

Bright joined Grayson Acevedo on the Scuderia Ferrari team to be a one-two team to try and tackle the Formula E division with Bright finishing 19th at Mexico City, 17th at Kyalami before scoring his first series win for himself and Ferrari at Hockenheimring. A 19th at Shanghai, 5th at Monaco, 12th at Long Beach, 12th at Hungaroring, 17th at Sebring before finishing 15th at Suzuka in the last round.

On race day, Bright rolled off starting 6th while starting in the final spot was Jeff's brother two-time last-place finisher the #3 Red Bull Racing of Eli Bright, a position that Eli would hold for only one turn as the #22 McLaren-Honda F1 Team of Cam Nixey was spun out just shortly after the first turn and slammed into the tire barrier head on with the #27 Sahara Force India F1 Team of Marc Lothaire-Irvine, destroying both cars. As the rest of the field made their way to the Inner Loop, drivers were able to make it past but as the field made it's way toward Turn 9, Jeff made contact with the #88 Manor Racing of Kelly Lee, sending both cars up the track and hard into the tire barriers with enough force that sent Jeff's car up into the air and landing on top of the barriers.

Further down the track yet another crash would break out as Mexico City last-place finisher the #20 Renault Sport F1 Team of Gavyn Moore made contact with his team mate the #30 Renault Sport F1 Team of Josh Barker, sending Moore into the guard rail head on before back out onto the track right in front of Long Beach last-place finisher the #19 Williams Martini Racing Nicolas Lothaire-Irvine, as Irvine had nowhere to go and hit Moore in the driver door with enough force it knocked the left front tire off Irvine's car, also knocking those cars out of the race.

Bright's victory at Hockenheimring would be the lone victory of his Formula E career as he would finish 16th in his final start at CTMP and would finish 20th in the final point standings. Bright currently has 3 career wins in the SCRL and still competes to this day.

IROC: Fuel System damage ends Al Lagasee's championship hopes just seconds after green flag at Indy; Sebastian Dent wins SCRLASTCAR Championship on a tiebreaker

Al Lagasee picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL IROC Series career in Race 4 of IROC VIII at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway when his #1 completed 15 of the 16 laps under power.

The finish came in his 12th career start. In the SCRL IROC Series, it's the 2nd for car #1 and the 18th for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 16th for the #1 and 321st for running at the finish.

Al is one of the most longest active drivers in the SCRL today as him and his brother Jack have both shown their talent in the SCRL, with Jack being a 11 time winner and the inaugural SCRL Wrangler Jeans Busch Grand National Series Champion while Al has won 9 times and is a two time champion, being the inaugural IndyCar Champion as well as the Season 3 Busch Grand National Series Champion, making him and Jack the only pair of brothers to win a championship in the same series. For Al, he would be chosen first at random to complete in his third straight appearance in the IROC Series, making his debut in IROC VI but he had yet been to victory lane and was looking to change that this season. Al would led one lap at Daytona before being involved in the race's final wreck and finished a disappointing 9th, a 7th at Talladega would be followed by Al scoring his first ever IROC Series win with a last turn last lap pass to lead only the final lap at Michigan, keeping his championship hopes alive.

On race day, Al would start 10th after the field's line up would be the inverted points standings, which meant that the #8 of Nick Kennedy would be starting in the final spot. As the field took the green flag, Al's car almost instantly began to show a loss of power, reporting to his team that the car was missing, as he slowed up fellow championship contender's the #4 of Chakat Whitelion and the #8 of Nick Kennedy, before both drivers where finally able to get past him. Al would limp back around the two and a half mile track before pulling on pit road as the crew discovered that the cause of the problem was a fuel system issues. The crew tried their best to fix it before sending Al back out onto the track, just before leader Christian Russel, with Al fighting to stay on the lead lap before losing it and actually costing Russel the lead on Lap 6. Al would regain his lap back and hoping to luck into a caution, but that would never come as Al would lose his lap again, this time for good, and with no other drivers having problems, Al would limp home as the only car not on the lead lap.

The remaining Bottom Five finished on the same lap as the race leaders: 11th was the #5 of Adam McDowell, 10th was the #3 of Jay Barker, 9th was the #8 of Nick Kennedy and 8th was the #4 of Chakat Whitelion

By virtue of finishing last, Al threw his hat into the running for being the possible LASTCAR Champion for IROC VIII as it was a literal four way tie between him, Sebastian Dent, Colin Dryburgh and Tony Newman, but the tie breaker does go to Sebastian, his first ever LASTCAR Championship in any SCRL Series.

The SCRL IROC VIII Championship went to Nick Kennedy, his 2nd overall championship in the SCRL, with his first coming in Season 1 of the SCRL Red Bull Formula One Series. Kennedy had no last place finishs this season with only one Bottom Five finish, the worst of the season coming here at Indy, a 9th place finish.

Congratulations to Nick for having a great year.

The finish came in his 3rd career start. In the SCRL IROC Series, it's the 5th for car #11 and the 17th for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 15th for the #11 and 320th for running at the finish.

Tony is a well established driver in the SCRL, having picked up seven career wins and has one championship in his career, that coming in the SCRL Sun Energy Whelen Euro Elite 1 division. Newman was chosen 11th overall in the IROC Series drawing, his first ever shot at racing in the International Race of Champions. Newman would be caught up in a late race wreck at Daytona and would finish 11th before finishing 4th in the last round at Talladega.

On race day, Newman would start 6th after the field's line up would be the inverted points standings, which meant that the #8 of Nick Kennedy would be starting in the final spot. Kennedy would trail for the lap around the two mile track before he would knock the #6 of Riley Spurlytube, who would trail for the second Lap. Spurlytube would trail for one lap before knocking Daytona last-place finisher the #10 of Colin Dryburgh into last on Lap 3. Dryburgh would trail for one lap himself before knocking the #3 of Jay Barker into last on Lap 4 before knocking the #9 of Christian Russel into last on Lap 5. Russel would trail for two laps before knocking the #12 of Richard Torres into last on Lap 7. Torres would trail for one lap before knocking the #4 of Chakat Whitelion into last on Lap 8, with Kennedy falling back to last on Lap 9, the #1 of Al Lagasee back to last on Lap 10, Russel to last on Lap 11, Barker to last on Lap 12 before Newman would fall back to last for the first time on Lap 13. Torres would reclaim last on Lap 14, but would knock Riley Spurlytube to last on Lap 15, the #7 of Muhammad Zain Abdullah into last on Lap 16, Lagasee back to last on Lap 17 before knocking Barker back to last on Lap 18. As the field took the white flag, Barker was still trailing in last before Barker would make a move and knocked Newman back to last in Turn 3 and would trail for the next two turns unable to make any moves.

The remaining Bottom Five were: 11th was the aforementioned #3 of Jay Barker, 10th was the #12 of Richard Torres, 9th was Talladega last-place finisher of the #2 of Sebastian Dent and 8th was the #6 of Riley Spurlytube.

Heading into the season finale at Indy, five drivers still have a chance of being the SCRLASTCAR Champion. Currently Tony Newman trails the field by virtue of having one more Bottom Ten finish over Sebastian Dent and Colin Dryburgh. While Jay Barker and Riley Spurlytube still have a chance to win the championship despite having no last place-finishes of the season. Here are the championship scenarios going into Indy; If Tony Newman finishes last at Indy he will win the championship outright, if Sebastian Dent or Colin Dryburgh finishes last and Newman doesn't finish in the Bottom Five, they will win the championship. If Jay Barker or Riley Spurlytube finishes last, Newman, Dent and Dryburgh must finish outside oif the Bottom Five in order for them to win the championship.

Sebastian would impress in his IROC Series debut, starting 5 and would stay with the pack all race long and would finish second to Nick Kennedy in the drag race to the line when the race ended under the yellow flag.

On race day, Sebastian would start 11th after the field's line up would be the inverted finish of how they placed at Daytona, which went the #8 of Nick Kennedy would be starting in the final spot. Kennedy would trail in last for only one turn before knocking the #5 of Adam McDowell into last as he would trail the first lap, but the next time around it was the #1 of Al Lagasee who was in last as the field completed lap 2. As the field entered Turn 1, Dent had made it up to second place and was racing four wide when the #6 of Riley Spurlytube hooked Dent's right fender as the two cars hooked and then turned toward the outside wall, as Dent would hit it hard head on into the concrete wall right in front of Daytona last-place finisher the #10 of Colin Dryburgh as a multi-car crash would break out for the second race in a row, involving a total of five drivers in some force of fashion. Dent's car would be completely destroyed, but he was able to make it back to pit road before he pulled behind the wall, being followed by the #9 of Christian Russel, who also had his front in caved in after hitting Spurlytube in the passenger door, with both drivers being listed as completing three laps, being listed as "out" by Lap 7.

Finishing 10th was the #3 of Jay Barker, who had also been caught up in the Lap 3 wreck, sat on pit road for two laps as his team tried to repair the car as best they could and sent Barker back out onto the track. While he wasn't a factor for the last half of the race, limping around at half speed, he wouldn't lose another lap and was running when the checkered flag waved.

The finish, which came in his 10th career start, was his first on the circuit since Race 3 of IROC V at the Michigan International Speedway when he completed all 20 laps under power; 11 races ago. In the SCRL IROC Series, it's the 7th for car #10 and the 16th for running at the finish. As drivers raced in a pack of 12 down the backstretch, contact between Dryburgh and the #5 of Adam McDowell sent McDowell up the track and into the path of Whitelion, causing a multi-car crash that would involve seven of the twelve drivers, bringing out the first caution of the day. Whitelion would trail throughout the caution due to making a pit stop for damage to hir car and would trail as the field went back racing, keeping a hold of last place until lap 12 when shi knocked the #7 of Muhammad Zain Abdullah into last. Abdullah would trail for two laps before he knocked Al Lagasee to last, a position he was holding into the battle for last would come to a sudden end.

As drivers raced four wide coming out of Turn 4, Dryburgh would be bumped by Nick Kennedy, sending Dryburgh up the track into the path of Tony Newman, causing another chain reaction and a five car wreck, as Dryburgh would hit the outside wall nearly head on, destroying the right front and then the rear of his car after it was hit by Riley Spurlytube. Dryburgh would limp across the start/finish line in last on Lap 16, and would remain in that spot as the race ended under caution.
