Throwback TRUCKS: Josh Barker fails to advance in LCQ at Flemington; scores first career truck series last-place finish.

Josh Barker picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series career in the Season 1 Stevens Beil / Genuine Car Parts 150 at the Flemington Speedway when his #2 Ultra Custom Wheels / ASE Ford completed all 10 laps under power.

The finish came in his 14th career series start.

Barker started off his truck career with a 28th at Phoenix, 37th at Tucson, 30th at Saugus, 35th at Mesa Marin, 22nd at Portland, 7th at Evergreen, 34th at I-70, 19th at Louisville, 33rd at Bristol, 37th at Milwaukee before scoring his first career truck series win at Colorado in his 11th start. A 37th at Heartland Park and a 26th in the last round at IRP would follow.

With the track only able to fit 35 trucks, the last four in points would be forced to battle it out for the last three spots.

On race day, Barker would roll off the field in last place in the LCQ, as soon as the green flag came out, Barker tried everything in his power to gain one spot, needing to finish in the top three to advance, but Barker would be unsuccessful over the ten laps, never gaining a position and was the only truck to not advance to the main show.

Finishing 35th was the #43 Comfrey Corner / U.S. Bobsled Team of Josh Nixey, who would be involved in the main event's first caution on Lap 3 when he ran into the spun out truck of the #52 AC Delco Chevrolet of Cesar Chavez, while behind Nixey, the #3 GM Goodwrench Service Chevrolet of Jay Jefferson ran into the back of Nixey, with Nixey's truck being destroyed at both ends, his day done.

Finishing in 34th was the #23 ASE / American Racing Wheels Ford of Benoit Lothaire-Irvine, who suffered engine problems five laps later while running inside the Top 20.

The remaining Bottom Five would finish a lap down to the race leaders; 33rd was the #17 Western Auto Chevrolet of Grayson Acevedo and 32nd was Saugus last-place finisher the Caiden Irene.
