Throwback LEGENDS: Early electrical problem gives Bulldog67 first career last place-finish at Bristol

Bulldog67 picked up the 1st last place finish of his ONL NASCAR Legends Series career in the Season 1 Volunteer 500 at the Bristol International Speedway when his #21 60 Minute Cleaners Mercury Cyclone suffered electrical problems after completing 5 of the 50 laps.

The finish came in his 16th career start.

Driving for the famous Wood Brothers, Bulldog67 made his league debut by starting 7th in the first Riverside event and finishing 4th, and in the next even he finished a career best 2nd at Ontario, until two races later, he picked up career win #1 at Rockingham. Over the next eight events, he would score seven straight Top 5 finishes before scoring his first finish outside the Top 5 by finishing 7th at Michigan, until one round later in the return trip at Riverside, Bulldog67 scored his worst finish to date, a 13th. A 6th at Greenville-Pickens and a 2nd, which was his 4th of the season, at Thompson, placed him firmly in the points lead as the series made a return trip to Bristol, where he had finished 4th earlier in the season.

On race day, Bulldog67 would roll off starting in 4th while starting last was two time last-place finisher the #30 unsponsored Dodge of ItalianDragon. By the time the race had gotten to five laps, Bulldog67's car began to smoke before pulling down onto the apron and onto the main pit road that was on the Frontstretch, pulling into the garage as the car was done for the day.
ItalianDragon would go on to move up through the field over the fifty laps, and by the time the Checkered Flag flew, he would tie his career best finish of 7th, which also came in the previous Bristol event.

Finishing 19th was three time last-place finisher the #99 Dow Chemicals Dodge of MoNsTer_RcN98, 18th was the #48 Mullins Ford of Umbreon and finishing 17th was four time last-place finisher the #64 Woodfield Ford of dragonboy, all of whom finished one lap down behind the race leaders. Rounding out the Bottom Five in 16th was spring Bristol last-place finisher the #06 Warren Fox Dodge of bigdaddy RCN, who was the last car on the lead lap.
