BUSCH: Jack Lagasee scores second straight last-place finish at Langley; now all time leader in Busch Series history

Jack Lagasee picked up the 5th last place finish of his SCRL Busch Grand National Series career in Wednesday's Busch 200 at the Langley Field Speedway when his #28 Skoal Bandit Pontiac completed all 20 laps under power.

The finish, which occurred in his 84th career series start, was his first on the circuit since the Kroger 200 at the Indianapolis Raceway Park when he completed all 20 laps under power; 1 race ago. In the SCRL Busch Series, it's the 5th for car #28 and the 36th for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 17th for the #28 and 303rd for running at the finish.

After trailing for the fourth time in his busch career in the last round at IRP, Jack was looking to get momentum at a track Jack has a best finish of 1st in 5 starts.
The entry list for the tenth time this season would have only full time drivers as the series returned to Hampton, Virginia in the series second and final stop at the 0.395 short track in Season 3.

In qualifying, Blaise Zebrataur would score his second busch pole with a lap time of 19.652 seconds. Jack would struggle in qualifying for the second race in a row, posting a time of 19.935, 0.283 seconds off Blaise's pole, placing him 16th overall. Starting last in the race was the #45 Luck Stone / Dryden Oil of Boston Jones who posted a time of 20.060 seconds, 0.408 seconds behind Blaise's pole winning time.

On race day, Jones would trail for the first two turns before knocking the unsponsored #1 Lindy White Racing Pontiac of David Beyers into last for the first lap, a spot Beyers would trail for the first four laps before knocking the #23 Miller High Life Oldsmobile of Samet Ozkan into last on Lap 5, a spot he would hold for only one lap before knocking first South Boston last-place finisher the #19 West Hartford Tool & Die Pontiac of Finn Smith. Smith would remain in last for three laps before knocking the #54 Burger King Buick of Ty Dent into last on Lap 10. Dent would struggle around the 0.395 mile track for five laps before finally knocking Jack back to last. Jack would struggle himself, falling almost fourteen seconds behind the race leaders when the checkered flag waved.

Rounding out the Bottom Five were: 24th was the aforementioned #23 of Samet Ozkan, 23rd was the #54 of Ty Dent, 22nd was the #19 of Finn Smith and 21st was two time last-place finisher the #48 Williford Prod. Builders Pontiac of Matt McIntyre.
