Throwback TRUCKS: Broken camshaft at Milwaukee Mile gives Morgan McPherson the lone last-place finish of his truck series career

Morgan McPherson picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series career in the Season 1 Sears Auto Center 125 at the Milwaukee Mile when his #16 Papa John's Pizza Chevrolet fell out with camshaft problems after completing 11 of the 20 laps.

The finish came in his 10th career series start. 

McPherson finished 30th in his truck debut at Phoenix, finishing 2nd in the next round at Tucson, 14th at Saugus, 33rd at Mesa Marin, 34th at Portland, 22nd at Evergreen and a 5th at I-70. In his 8th career start, McPherson would lead 9 of the 23 laps to score his first career truck series win at Louisville. With his first victory, the team was excited to remain on the short tracks, with McPherson finishing 5th in the last round at Bristol.

On race day, McPherson would roll off starting in 31st while starting last was the #61 Roush Performance Products Ford of Nitahbk the first eight laps would be a calm, but competitive race at both the front and back of the field but on lap 9 the lone caution would come out. During the caution, McPherson rode around the track behind the pace truck before his truck began to lose power down the backstretch before pulling into the pits and then the garage, his truck listed as "out" on lap 12.

The remaining Bottom Five would finish on the same lap as the race leaders; 39th was Evergreen last-place finisher the #83 Coffee Critic Chevrolet of Richard Torres, 38th was two time last-place finisher the #32 Straight Arrow / Mane 'n Tail Ford Sebastian Torres, 37th was the #2 Ultra Custom Wheels / ASE Ford of Josh Barker and 36th was the #1 Sears DieHard Chevrolet of Jeff Bright.

McPherson's victory at Louisville be would the lone victory of his truck series career, as well as being the only season he would complete in the truck series, finishing 25th in the season finale at Phoenix and placing 6th in the final point standings.

*This was the first time the #16 had finished last in a Truck Series race as well as at Milwaukee.
*This is the second time a driver has trailed the field due to camshaft issues; the only other time a driver a trailed was the Scott Irvin Chevrolet / Craftsman 200 at the Saugus Speedway when Caiden Irene fell out without completing any of the 20 laps; 7 races ago.
