Throwback ARCA: Bulldog67 trails the field in first caution free race in series history at Mobile

Bulldog67 picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series career in the Pre-Season 1 Mobile ARCA 200 at the Mobile International Speedway when his #10 Milwaukee Crusher Co. / Double H Ranch Chevrolet completed all the 30 laps under power.

The finish came in his 2nd career start. At the point in his career, Bulldog67 had scored his first in only championship in Season 2 of the SCRL NASCAR Legends Series and had the second most wins in league history, but he was on his way down in the racing totem pole as newer and fresh faces came into the SCRL. In the previous race at Daytona, Bulldog67 made his series debut and finished a respectable 3rd place as the series made their first ever stop on the short track at Mobile as for the second event in a row, the #99 Roulo Brothers Racing Ford of Rick Rome chose to skip the Mobile event and focus their attention on the big event at Atlanta in the next round.

On race day, Bulldog67 would roll off starting in the 12th spot while the #69 Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery Ford of wolfmoon would start in the last spot as the field took the green flag. Due to no cautions flying during the event, the battle for positions happened every lap and by the time the Checkered Flag fell, Bulldog67 had fallen behind by almost a second to the nearest driver and took the last place award.

The remaining Bottom Five were drivers who finished on the same lap as race winner Truttle. 21st went to the #8 UNOH / Dodge Motorsports Dodge of Seth Brooks, 20th went to the #28 Aluma Aluminum Trailers Chevrolet of Jus Nimh, 19th went to the #2 ModSpace / Hixson-Belmont Ford of Jason Pedro and 18th went to Daytona last-place finisher the #68 Kimmel Racing Ford of Joseph Chapman.

Bulldog67 has left a legacy in the SCRL that will last forever, becoming the second ever champion in league history and has amassed 13 career wins, which ranks him 6th on the all time win list. He last competed in the 2017 Shaker Memorial Race and pops up now and then to complete in special races while working as a mechanic in real life.
