Adam Leitman picked up the 1st last place finish of his ONL Formula One Series career in the Pre-Season 1 Grand Prix of Mexico at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez when his #5 was involved in a multi-car crash after completing 4 of the 8 laps.
The finish came in his 2nd career start. Leitman was one of twenty one drivers who originally signed up to compete for the newest series in the then ONL(Oreius NASCAR League). In his series debut Kyalami, Leitman started 17th and finished an uneventful 15th.
The entry list for the second ever event at Mexico City was bumped up to 22 as Rick Rome signed up just before the car arrived in Mexico, signing on to driver the #23.
On race day, Leitman would roll off starting in the 9th spot while rolling off in the final spot was the #3 of Dan Bandon. The racing around the track was incredible for the fans and drivers but on Lap 4 that all changed as chaos broke out in Turns 1 and 2 as a four car wreck would break out, originally starting when the #25 of wolfmoon made contact with the #27 of Thorgrim, sending both cars hard into the tire barrier. Having escaped the wreck, Leitman made contact with Kyalami last-place finisher the #22 of Bulldog67, sending both cars into the Turn 2 barriers followed shortly by pole sitter Rick Rome. Leitman, wolfmoon, Rome and Thorgrim would all be listed as out on the same lap, with Letiman becoming scored the final car since his was the only one to be towed back to the pits while everyone else was able to pull into the garage on their own.
Rounding out the Bottom Five in 17th was the last car on the lead lap, the #8 of guitarhero01234.
Adam Leitman's career in the ONL, now SCRL, was brief and uneventful, as he never visited victory lane, and the Mexico race was the only time he finished last in his career. The whereabouts of the driver are currently unknown.
