Riley Spurlytube picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series career in the Season 1 Goody's 150 at the Martinsville Speedway when his #10 Made For You / Circular Chevrolet fell out with header problems after completing 1 of the 50 laps.
The finish came in his 16th career series start.
Spurlytube finished 32nd in his debut at Phoenix, 3rd at Tucson, 11th at Saugus, 26th at Mesa Marin, 24th at Portland, 34th at Evergreen, 7th at I-70, 15th at Louisville, 25th at Bristol, 17th at Milwaukee, 16th at Colorado, 34th at Heartland Park, 21st at IRP, 3rd at Flemington before finishing 32nd in the last round at Richmond.
On race day, Spurlytube would roll off starting in 38th place while starting last was the #24 DuPont Refinishes Chevrolet of John Arndt but just seconds after the green flag was waved, Spurlytube's truck began to start smoking and he tried to make it to pit road, but ran into the #3 GM Goodwrench Service Chevrolet of Jay Jefferson, spinning out on the frontstretch, bringing out the first caution of the day. Spurlytube would drive back around the track on the apron before pulling into the garage his day done after one lap.
Finishing 39th was the #17 Western Auto Chevrolet of Grayson Acevedo, who suffered a blown engine just eight laps later.
It would be another full forty laps before another spot would be filled, as 38th and 37th was the #07 Exide Batteries Ford of Kyle Mests and 37th was the #18 Precision Gear Chevrolet of Hideo Fukuyama, who were both involved in the final caution on Lap 46.
Rounding out the Bottom Five in 36th was the #52 AC Delco of Cesar Chavez, who had been involved in multiple cautions during the event and finished two laps behind the race leaders.
