Rookie Noelle Holiday trails for the first time in his SCRL career in third straight caution free race at CTMP Oval

Noelle Holiday picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Tim Hortons Candian Series career in the Friday's Clarington 200 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Oval when his #52 Best Buy Pieces d'Auto Dodge completed all 20 laps under power.

The finish came in his 3rd career series start. In the SCRL Tim Hortons Candian Series, it's the 1st for car #52 and the 11th for running at the finish. Across all the series in the SCRL, it's the 5th for the #52 and the 324th for running at the finish.

Holiday is still a rookie when it come to competing in the SCRL, having only appeared in a few series as well as racing in the Chili Bowl last year, a race he finished an impressive 10th as well as competing in the Snowball Derby, doing one place better by finishing 9th. Holiday would make history in his first ever attempt in a Canadian Series race by winning in his first ever start at the twisting road course at CTMP, but in the last round he would finish a disappointing 13th at Delaware.

The entry list for the second time this season would be only the full-time drivers, twenty in total.

In qualifying, Brian Fox would score his first career pole, posting a time of 24.119 seconds. Holiday would struggle around the half mile track, posting a time of 24.431, while only 0.312 seconds off Fox's time, it would place Holiday 18th on the grid. Starting last in the race was the #51 Prairie Dodge Dealers Dodge of Nick Kennedy, who posted the slowest time of 24.502, 0.383 seconds behind Fox's pole winning time.

When the green flag waved, Kennedy would struggle around the half mile track before he would finally make a move and knocked Holiday back to last on Lap 3. What no one would have guessed at the time, but the battle for last ended when Holiday fell back to last, as a tough racing track provided not too many passing chances for drivers, as Holiday would struggle to get by Kennedy over the remaining seventeen circuits as Holiday would score his first career last-place finish in any series.

The remaining Bottom Five were: 19th was the aforementioned #51 of Nick Kennedy, 18th was the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Bellemare of Cameron Hathaway, 17th was the #5 EMCO / Praxair / Safety Kleen Dodge of Sebastian Torres and 16th was Delaware last-place finisher the #67 LubeSource / Thorsons EVT Chevrolet of Samet Ozkan.
