Trucks: Race long battle for last place gives Mani Salado her first last-place finish in caution free race at Nazareth

Mani Salado picked up the 1st last place finish of her SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series career in Friday's NAPA Autocare 200 at the Nazareth Speedway when her #8 Cintas Chevrolet completed all of the 20 laps under power.

The finish came in her 11th career series start. Entering the Truck Series, Salado had found limited success so far in her SCRL career, having scored only one career win, that being in the SCRL CatDog Pro Series West at the Auto Club Speedway. Making her SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series debut earlier in the season, Salado finished 6th at Walt Disney World, which would be her career best until she would finish runner up to Gustavo Arocha at the New Hampshire International Speedway, which placed her 12th in points entering Nazareth.

On race day, Salado would roll off the field in the 37th spot while starting last was the #3 GM Goodwrench Service Chevrolet of Samet Ozkan but by the end of the first lap the #06 Greenfield Racing Dodge of Tim Randolph had taken the last spot before the #24 Quaker State Chevrolet of Sebastian Torres would take over last on Lap 2 followed by the #2 Team ASE Racing Ford of Jay Jefferson for the 3rd lap, points leader the #9 Rhino Linings USA Chevrolet of Brian Fox would take last on the fourth lap.

The #20 Orleans Hotel & Casino Chevrolet of Steve Larker would take last on the 6th lap, the #16 NAPA Brakes Chevrolet of Bafode Sacko would take last on the 7th lap before Brian Fox would retake it back on the 8th before the #12 Blake Racing Chevrolet of Riley Spurlytube would take last on the 9th lap. Spurlytube would hold last until the 12th lap when Mani Salado would enter the battle as she would be in last for two laps before Spurlytube would take it back on Lap 15. Spurlytube would remain in last all the way up until the field took the white flag, passing Salado in turn 3 and giving Saldo her first last place finish in series history.

Rounding out the bottom five were drivers who all finished the race under power on the same lap as the race winner: 39th went to the aforementioned #12 of Riley Spurlytube, 38th went to the aforementioned #2 of Jay Jefferson, 37th went to the #34 Concor Tool & Machine Ford of Al Lagasee and 36th went to the aforementioned #16 of Bafode Sacko.
