Trucks: Early tire problem traps Zaptos Amarrados a lap down on his way to his first last-place finish at the Milwaukee Mile

Zaptos Amarrados picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series career in Saturday's Sears DieHard 200 at the Milwaukee Mile when his #66 Carlin Burners & Controls Ford of Zaptos Amarrados completed 19 of the 20 laps under power.

The finish came in his 12th career series start. Entering the Truck Series, Amarrados was one of many drivers just trying to have some good runs, having competed in several series, but never really having good runs, let alone a win. Amarrados finished 23rd in his truck series debut earlier in the season at Walt Disney World and scored a career best 2nd at Texas only two rounds ago.

On race day, Amarrados would roll off the field in the 34th spot while starting last was the #31 Concor Tool & Machine Ford of Al Lagasee, a spot he would hold onto during the first lap before the #3 GM Goodwrench Service Chevrolet of Samet Ozkan would fall back to last on the 2nd lap, the #26 Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool Ford of Derrick Edison would fall back to last on the third lap before Bristol last-place finisher the #86 Valvoline Instant Oil Change Ford of Max Anderson would take over last on the 4th and 5th laps before the #90 NHL Ford of Muhammad Zain Abdullah would fall back to last on Lap 6 and a lap later, Amarrados would enter the battle for the first time on Lap 7.

Abdullah would reclaim last on the 8th lap and as the field enter Turn 1, Amarrados's truck took a sharp turn to the right heading for the wall, his right front tire flat, but the driver was able to keep it off the wall and cost back to pit road and get four fresh times as he slipped back to last on the 9th lap. Having lost a lap to the leaders, Amarrados was never able to gain a spot and locked up his first ever last place finish.

Rounding out the bottom five were drivers who all finished the race under power on the same lap as the race winner: 39th went to the #20 Orleans Hotel & Casino Chevrolet of Steve Larker, 38th went to I-70 race winner the #19 Pennzoil Dodge of Joe Jefferson, 37th went to the aforementioned #90 of Muhammad Zain Abdullah and 36th went to Texas last place finisher the #94 Super 8 Motel Ford of Jimmy Potter.
