The finish came in his 37th career series start, was his first of the season, and his first in a truck series race since May 30, 2017 when he was involved in a multi-truck crash after completing 5 of the 32 laps in the Season 2 GM Goodwrench / AC Delco 300 at the Phoenix International Raceway, 14 races ago. With his 3rd last place finish, Lee is now in a four-way tie with Cam Nixey, Riley Spurlytube and Max Anderson for the most last-place finishes in the truck series.
On race day, Lee would roll off the field in the last spot, a spot he would hold until the 11th lap before the #06 Greenfield Racing Dodge of Tim Randolph would slip back to the last spot on the 12th lap before one lap later Greg Lee would take the last spot back and would hold it until he would lose the last place spot to the #9 Rhino Linings USA Chevrolet of Brian Fox on the 18th lap, and it appeared Fox as on his way to his first career last place finish in the truck series. However as the field took the white flag, Fox would pass Lee down the backstretch and handed Lee his record tying third last place truck series finish.
Rounding out the bottom five were drivers who all finished the race under power on the same lap as the race winner: 32nd went to the aforementioned #9 of Brian Fox, 31st went to the #28 Federated Auto Parts Ford of Richard Torres, 30th went to Nazareth last-place finisher the #8 Cintas Chevrolet of Mani Salado and 29th went to the aforementioned #06 of Tim Randolph.
