Throwback TRUCK: Sebastian Torres fails to advance in LCQ at Mesa Marin; gets first last-place finish in Truck Series

Sebastian Torres picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Rainbow Dash Truck Series career in the Season 1 Ford Credit 125 at the Mesa Marin Raceway when his #32 Straight Arrow / Mane 'n Tail Ford completed all 15 laps in the LCQ.

The finish came in his 4th career series start. Torres had made his debut in the series at Phoenix finishing 37th, and in the next round at Tucson he finished a disappointing 39th and in the last round, Torres won the LCQ(Last Chance Qualifier) at Saugus before finishing 15th in the main event. Entering Round 5 at Mesa Marin, Torres found himself in yet another LCQ with only the winner advancing.

On race day, Torres would roll off the field in 2nd place in the LCQ while starting last was the #2 Ultra Custom Wheels / ASE  Ford of Josh Barker. Torres would lead briefly before Saugus last-place finisher the #06 Ultra Custom Wheels Ford of Caiden Irene passed Torres for the lead and would go on to win the LCQ while Torres finished last.

Finishing 35th was the #2 of Josh Barker who also failed to advance from the LCQ into the main show. 34th was the #28 NAPA / United Brake Systems Ford of Jack Decker, who was knocked out of the main show after a Lap 1 crash. 

The remaining Bottom Five in 33rd was the #16 Papa John's Pizza Chevrolet of Morgan McPherson and 32nd was the #30 Taylor Togs Dodge of Cole Nixey, both taken out on a Lap 10 crash.

Sebastian Torres would be one of the most successful drivers in SCRL history, picking 13 career wins along the way to winning three career championships.
