Throwback EAST: Second lap crash makes guitarhero01234 the first driver to trail a East series race in series debut at Daytona

guitarhero01234 picked up the 1st last place finish of his ONL K&N East Series career in the Pre-Season 1 Gargoyles 300 at the Daytona International Speedway when his #26 American Mountain Rentals / Amtrol Chevrolet was involved in a multi-car crash after 2 of the 20 laps.

The finish came in his 1st career start. guitarhero01234 was one of twenty three drivers to signup for the brand new regional series that competed in the East side of the United States.

On race day, guitarhero01234 would roll off starting in the 3rd spot while the #15 Bienvenidos a NASCAR / Mayor Cars of Chris Kyle rolled off last. By the end of the first lap, the field was stacked up in a pack of twenty three drivers and by the the field completed Lap 2, guitarhero had taken the lead when chaos broke out in Turn 1 as he was turned right in front of the rest of the field, causing a "big one", sending him for a wild ride and when the smoke cleared, the #26 car was completed destroyed, stopped in Turn 1 and by the time Lap 4 was completed, the #26 was officially listed as "out", making him the first ever driver to trail a East Series event.

The remaining Bottom Five would be filled up by Lap 5 as other drivers also were taken out in the Lap 2 wreck; 22nd was the #18 Coca-Cola Toyota of Chakat Whitelion, 21st was the #99 Boost Mobile Toyota of Dan Bandon, 20th was the #31 Integrated Metal Products Toyota of Nathan Hudson and finishing 19th was the #22 Race Alert / Oakley Tank Lines Dodge of Jimmy Green.

guitarhero01234 would be one of many drivers who tried to make a name for themselves, as he would compete briefly before never being heard from again by this league.
