The finish came in his 1st career series start. The regional series that races soley in Canada started it's first race at the 2.459 mile road course as twenty nine drivers signed up to see who would become the first ever winner and champion of the new series.
On race day, Olasin would roll off the field starting 12th while the #03 Monsieur Muffler / Circuit ICAR Chevrolet of Chris Kyle would trail the field as the green flag flew. Much of the race was run under the green flag until with less then three laps to go a wreck broke out in the final turn making the race end under caution, at that point, Olasin had taken last place.
The remaining Bottom Five were filled by drivers who finished on the same lap race leaders; 28th was the #02 Dickies / Beyond Digital Imaging Ford of Truttle, 27th was the #16 of Amy Shelly, 26th was the #97 Vannini Motorsports Ford of Axel Simmons and finishing 25th was the #90 Veloce Dodge of Jesse Turner.
This would be the only time Olasin ever trailed a field in any series of the SCRL as his career would be one of many drivers who never found success in the then ONL, now SCRL.
