Throwback MEXICO: Rocco Twyman gets his first Mexico last-place finish in his fifth start at Saugus

Rocco Twyman picked up the 1st last place finish of his SCRL Telcel Mexico Series career in the Season 1 Featherlite Trailers 100 at the Saugus Speedway when his #31 54D Chevrolet completed all 20 laps under power.

The finish came in his 5th career series start.

Twyman was still looking to  make a name for himself in the SCRL, when he became one of twelve drivers to compete in the Mexico Series first ever season. In his debut, Twyman would finish 9th at Phoenix, 9th at Central Park, 11th at the series first ever event on the road course at Willow Springs before finishing 4th in the last round at Peach State.

On race night, Twyman would start 10th while starting in the final spot would be the the #18 Canel's / Scotiabank / HDI Seguros Toyota of Chakat Whitelion. For the third straight race, there would be no caution that would fly, and so with a tight track as it was, Twyman would be knocked back to the final spot by the race's third lap, and it would be a position he would hold for the remainder of the event, finishing a full eleven seconds behind the race leaders.

The remaining Bottom Five were: 11th was the #11 Monster Energy Toyota of Grayson Acevedo, 10th was the aforementioned #18 of Chakat Whitelion, 9th was the #88 Canel's / Scotiabank / HDI Seguros Toyota of Yutaii and 8th was Peach State last-place finisher the #15 Citizen Toyota of Colin Dryburgh.
