Throwback ARCA: Daniel Bouchard trails in caution free race at Texas; becomes the first driver to trail twice in the ARCA Series

Daniel Bouchard picked up the 2nd last place finish of his SCRL Lucas Oil ARCA Racing Series career in the Season 1 Rattlesnake 150 at the Texas Motor Speedway when his #69 Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery Ford completed all 34 laps under power.

The finish, which came in his 9th career start, was his first on the circuit since the #AllLivesMatter 200 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway when he was involved in a multi-car crash after 3 of the 40 laps, 6 races ago.

After trailing for the first time in his career at Charlotte, the Kimmel Racing team would continue to struggle the next race with Bouchard finishing 39th at Talladega before the team with finally have some momentum with a 11th at Gateway and a 9th at Kentucky. However Bouchard's luck would be brief with him finishing 37th at Pocono and 39th again at Michigan, both victims of big ones in the first two laps.

On race day, Bouchard would roll off 35th while starting last was Daytona last-place finisher the #32 Win-Tron Racing Chevrolet of Dinkdrinker as the racing around the mile and a half track would be intense and action packed, with passing for the lead and position happened nearly every single lap, with all the drivers giving each other space, with no cautions coming out during the event, and by the time the checkered flag waved, Bouchard was trailing the field for the second time in his career.

The remaining Bottom Five were: 40th the #23 Allegiant Air Chevrolet of Cassie Waz, 39th was Michigan last-place finisher the #25 Venturini Motorsports Toyota of Cole Nixey, 38th was the #1 ModSpace Ford of Grayson Acevedo and 37th was the #54 Costy's Energy Services Dodge of Benoit Lothaire-Irvine.

Texas turned out to be the 2nd and final last-place finish of his ARCA career, as his best finish of the season would be a 4th at the Milwaukee Mile, and would finish 36th in the overall point standings. While he would never find victory lane in the ARCA Series, Bouchard would find victory lane in other SCRL Series, having scored 2 career wins.
