Throwback LEGENDS: Packersrock2010 gets first last-place finish of career after early engine failure at Michigan

Packersrock2010 picked up the 1st last place finish of his ONL NASCAR Legends Series career in the Season 1 Michigan 400 at the Michigan International Speedway when his #17 East Tenn. Motor Co. Ford suffered engine problems after completing 8 of the 19 laps.

The finish came in his 18th career series start.

In his series debut for the league, Packersrock2010 started 2nd before going on to become the first ever driver to win in series as well as league history by winning at Riverside. A finish of 2nd at Talladega has been his best finish since then while at Darlington he scored his worst finish to date when a crash with one lap to go caused him to finish 18th. In the last round at Atlanta, he finished 11th while earlier in the season he finished 14th in the previous Michigan event.

On race day, Packersrock2010 would roll off the grid starting 11th, while starting last was the #06 Warren Fox Dodge of wolfmoon. Details from the race have been lost due to lack of coverage of the league then, but by the time the Checkered Flag was flown, Packersrock2010's engine had blown up on Lap 8, giving the driver his first last-place finish of his career.

Finishing 19th was the aforementioned #06 of wolfmoon, who suffered suspension failure one lap later.

18th was the #34 unsponsored Ford of Trail Blazer, who suffered engine failure himself with six laps to go, being the only other driver to not finish on the lead lap.

The remaining Bottom Five finished on the same lap as the race leaders: 17th was three time last-place finisher the #30 unsponsored Dodge of ItalianDragon and finishing 16th was spring Michigan last-place finisher the #4 Mills Plumbing Dodge of Sicarius.

The ONL NASCAR Legends Series would be the only place that Packersrock2010 would find success, as just two races after scoring his first last-place finish, he would score win #2 at the Bowman-Gray Stadium, before finishing 7th in the final point standings. In Season 2, he would start off the year with another win at Riverside, which would be the third and final win of his career. Packersrock2010 would compete in several early races of the ONL East division before retiring shortly before the league was rebranded to the SCRL.
