Throwback LEGENDS: MoNsTer_RcN98 gets fourth last-place finish of the season at Darlington

MoNsTer_RcN98 picked up the 4th last place finish of his ONL NASCAR Legends Series career in the Season 1 Southern 500 at the Darlington Raceway when his #99 Dow Chemicals Dodge completed 34 of the 36 laps under power.

The finish came in his 21st career start, was his first on the circuit since he completed all 20 laps of the Thompson Speedway 200 at the Thompson Speedway, 6 races ago.

After trailing the field at Thompson, MoNsTer_RcN98 finished second to last at the second Bristol event, then the very next event he turned in one of his best performances of the season, starting 5th at Atlanta before tying his career best of 3rd, which had also come at the spring Atlanta race earlier in the season. A finish of 11th at the second Michigan event, a 12th at the second Talladega race and finished 13th in the last round at Bowman Gray.

On race day, MoNsTer_RcN98 would roll off starting in 14th while starting last was Atecom. Like many of the other races in season one, details have been lost through time but what is clear is that at some point during the event, MoNsTer_RcN98 suffered a problem that forced the car to pit, falling two laps down, the only driver to lose a lap, and easily scored his third last-place finish of the season.

The remaining Bottom Five finished on the same lap as the race leaders; 19th was fellow three time last-place finisher the #30 unsponsored Dodge of ItalianDragon, 18th was four time last-place finisher the #64 Woodfield Ford of dragonboy, 17th was the #22 unsponsored Dodge of Marloc and finishing 16th was the #06 Warren Fox Dodge of wolfmoon.
